Saphire Blue Jaguar XK8 convertible with LOW miles!!
1998 JAGUAR XK8 Convertible with only 68K miles. I am the second owner and have cared for this car like she was my baby! It's been garaged and serviced regularly. The interior is ivory and in great shape. No tears or rips. The driver's side seat shows some wear, but is still in great condition. No stains and the dash is in perfect condition! The exterior is saphire blue and beautiful! It has a few minor scratches, which can probably be buffed out. I just recently had it detailed, waxed polished. The convertible top is navy blue and in great shape. It still is very tight and makes for a nice quiet ride when the top is up. I also have a brand new ivory tonneau cover which I will include for the top.
OPTIONS: Harmon Kardon premium sound, 6 disk CD changer, climate control, steering wheel controls, cruise control and much more.
This car is a weekend only car so it doesn't get driven very often and still has new tires with lots of tread left on them, and the rims are alloy. The reason I am selling this car is because I have 15 year old twins who will be driving in January and think they get to drive the Jaguar since it doesn't get driven very often! Unfortunately, I need to down-grade to a beater!!
I've had the car serviced regularly at the Jaguar Performance center in Los Gatos, California. In December of 2007 I had a major service done to the vehicle. I replaced the fuel pump filter, and proactively replaced Timing chain tensioners coolant cap, cover gaskets and related seals spark plugs. I also replace old bulbs and installed new grounds for rear bulbs...she's ready to go!!
This car has 2 things that need to be fixed :
One, the ABS brakes need to be replaced. The car is totally safe to drive without ABS, as stated by the Jaguar Performance Center and the owners manual. The cost is approximately $1200-1400 (I've taken that into account in the price of the car)
Two, the electric knob which moves the passenger seat forward and back has come off, but I have the knob...just need to have it put back on.
Other than the two items listed above, this car is in overall great condition and ready to go. I've throughly enjoyed this car and hope you will too...
