This is the original Stars Stripes Jeep,
One of only four Jeeps designed and painted by the Toledo Jeep Plant in house artist. Only two still remain. A Jeep Liberty in New York State and this bicentennial 1976 CJ5, still in the Toledo area and owned by the artist.
This Jeep was restored and painted in 2001 as a tribute to the 911 disaster. It has a fiberglass body, a new custom built Advance galvanized frame with built in 2" Reese hitch and built-in swing-away tire carrier. The motor is a Chevy 330 hp 350 V8 crate engine with 380 ft. lbs. of torque. It has Hooker ceramic shorty headers and dual exhaust. The transmission is a rebuilt Chevy turbo 350 automatic with a Hurst shifter, connected to a Dana 20 series transfer case. The rear differential is a 20 series with Superior one piece flange axles. It has 941 miles on it since it's restoration.
It is presently being used for promotions for Americas Patriot LLC. It has also been loaned to Chrysler Corp. at Camp Jeep, and for a 2001 tribute at the Mud Hens Fifth 3rd Field in Toledo, Ohio. It has been displayed at several patriotic events and parades. This Jeep turns heads where ever it goes, and would make a great addition to any car collection or as a promotional vehicle.
A returning soldier from Iraq, who was awarded a Bronze Star with Valor, was paraded in it in a home town celebration. This has been it's most significant use to date.

To answer a couple of questions. The crate motor is new, the body is new , and the tires are new 31X10.5R15LT. There is a backseat but it hasn't been put in. It also has a tilt steering column in it. The tail light pictures show a hide away gas fill. Thanks for looking.
