I've got a 1989 jeep Cherokee 2 door for sale.
So lets start with the condition of the engine. The engine is very clean, no gunk buildup or much dirt at all. It's an AMC straight six with an automatic transmission. The engine has 133,660 miles on it, and has been routinely serviced. I had the entire car looked over by a mechanic about a month ago with a perfect report. I've had absolutely no problems with the engine. This car is a great daily driver. The only thing that needs to be fixed is an oil hose. The hose will drip a few drops of oil on the ground after shutting the car off and then stops. Other than that, its fine. I just ran two bottles of fuel system cleaner through it, and its running strong.
The body is in great condition for the year. there is no rot underneath by the floor or on the frame. I just sanded all of the surface rust, and undercoated the frame and chassis. There is a little bit of rust at the bottom of the doors, but it still has paint over it, and none of it is visible. my plan was to roll rhino liner right over it after it was sanded down. The paint job is good, but could eventually use a new one. The interior is very clean and has leather seats. The a/c is ice cold, the heat is hot, and everything works perfectly.
The bad:
-The drivers side door release is broke (The leaver on the driver's seat to let passengers in the back seat), but the one on the passenger's side works.
-I previously mentioned that the oil hose has a leak, but it is only a few drips.
-The u-joints in the front drive shaft need to be replaced
My dream was for this to become a off road machine. Cherokees look tough lifted, and thats what i wanted to do, but because of recent events, i have to sell it. All it needs is a lift and big tires to be a trail beast.
what I've done to it:

new pioneer cd/usb/aux deck. You can hook any mp3 up to it and it will charge while you listen. There is a cable ran through the glove box.
new pioneer speakers mounted on the doors where the old ones were.
new 12 inch pioneer subs with box and amp
new cb radio w/ antenna
new front bumper lights (halogen)
new air filter
new oil filter
new brake pads
new brake rotors
new brake calipers
almost all the fluids have just been changed
just undercoated the bottom with truck bed liner.
new u joints that just need to be put in.
