1972 Jeep Commando 4x4 V8 Automatic
The Top Comes Off!
Have fun on or off the roads in this 1972 Jeep Commando 4x4 V8 Automatic. A one family owner vehicle, it is rare example of a 100% original survivor. It has never been modified and has received excellent care. Teal green with a white removable top and black interior. Exterior paint is lustrous. New vinyl seat covers being installed the first days of September, due to seams separating. The interior looks amazing, especially with the new seat covers. The rear cargo area shows some wear from 36 years of use. All glass is excellent. Under the hood is a 304 V8 automatic which produces enough power to take you anywhere! Compression averages 140 per cylinder. This Jeep runs and drives as it should and cruises down the highway at 75 with ease. The undercarriage and body is rust free, excluding a small area on the tailgate that does have some minor rust, easily fixed for $200-$300. The tailgate works properly. Undercarriage photos available upon request. Tires are 60-70%. The exhaust is true and quiet. The 8,000 lbs capacity Ramsey winch includes a cable remote attachment; the solenoid works intermittently and should be replaced. The family who owned the Jeep has stated that the odometer is an actual reading, but this can not be verified or guaranteed. Commandos had a limited production run and are difficult to find in original condition, let alone one this well preserved! Have the best of both worlds, this Jeep would make a great trail or off-road vehicle as well as a fun daily driver around town.
