This classic beauty has started it's journey of restoration. With numerous upgrades including a new gas tank, gas tank skid plate, brand new tires, top of the line shock absorbers, new headliner, new carburetor and vacuum lines and connectors. Flush and fill on the cooling system.Complete tune up just two thousand miles ago. She starts and runs beautifully. All of her power windows work well (including the imfamous rear window which was recently rebuilt and operates very nicely).
The interior is gorgeous and original. I can't stress how important that is. The carpeting is the real deal. The plush stuff you can't get anymore. The upholstery is in near perfect condition. The only blemish is the arm rest which has a few small cracks in it. Another amazing feat, which relates to the woody being kept in a garage all of it's life, is the fact that she is entirely water tight. No water leaks in the roof, windows, sills, nope none.
Ok, now the downsides:
1) her final step to complete refurb is her paint job. I have a quote to repaint her for $1600. I also have the replacement wood (vinyl decals) panels for the sides. I was going to put these on after her repaint. These are new and in the package, but are not included in the price. I am willing to sell these separately.
2) The AC needs a recharge. We can possbly work something out prior to pickup. It worked well a few weeks ago, but I think it got a leak. nothing major, just a leak.
That's it. I will miss her. She's a great ride!
