If you've been searching for a super clean rust free early Wagoneer then this might just be the ride for you. The 63-64 years were the only ones with the (more attractive) Rhino front end. I bought this Jeep from the 2nd owner close to a year ago to finish the restoration. I initially wanted to use it to tow my antique trailers. I must now part with it and other projects. This Jeep is a CA black plate vehicle with zero rust or accident damage. It is an original, low mileage example NEEDING PAINT. It's clear by the pictures that it was babied. The 2nd owner swapped out the original engine/trans for a more reliable Chevy 327 V8 and 700r4 OD transmission, both rebuilt. There are two small minor blems to the body; otherwise it is bone straight. The chrome, although slightly pitted, shines nice and is straight. All glass is clear and pit free. The interior is completely original and quite nice. Headliner is intact (aside from an area needing to be glued above the sun visor), front seat shows slight wear, rear seat is near mint, door cards are nice, metal dash top has some light surface rust. Needs a front carpet kit. Rear just needs a shampoo. Has the original rear rubber mat. All electrics work including the rear window (which is a little slow coming up). The right turn signal is not blinking but comes on. It has a Dana 60 rear end. Heater core is disconnected. NEW PARTS INCLUDE: Holley Truck Avenger Carburetor, Brake Master, Generator, Aluminum Radiator, Aluminum Trans Cooler, Brakes and Brake Lines, Tires, Locking 1800 Torque Converter for towing, Complete TCC Relay Kit for Towing and Complete Exhaust System. Many dollars have already been spent. All you need to do is paint. And I think it deserves a decent job. I have all the emblems and trim rings for the wheels plus a spare hubcap. The shift linkage is from the original 3 on the tree manual. It has been kept to make the interior look original. Pulling back on the shifter while rotating provides positive shifting. A neutral safety switch could be added. Positions are unlabeled: Park, Reverse, Neutral, Overdrive, 3, 2, 1. It also has a thermostatically controled fan on the radiator. Battery is good but is oversized. Please ask any and all questions. I want to make certain that you receive the truck you were expecting. I am happy to provide serious bidders with additional photos. This Jeep is being sold as is with no warranties. I am not responsible for the correct description, authenticity, genuiness, or defects herein. I have described the Jeep to the best of my abilities and have disclosed known defects. I urge serious buyers to inspect it during the auction process. Reserve is very reasonable. Will ship to any foreign location. On Oct-02-08 at 11:12:57 PDT, seller added the following information: The 4wd operation is as follows: 1) Shift transmission into neutral 2) Use floor shifter to select: 2Lo, 2Hi, 4Lo, 4Hi (pattern is on the nob) 3) rotate locking hubs to "lock" position. 4) Reverse steps 2 & 3 to put into 2wd Notes: A) If floor shifter is difficult to shift into gear, drive forward or backwards a few feet. B) The right locking hub is tight & may require a wrench to turn. C) Remember, 4wd is for dirt or snow driving only; No asphalt. D) The transfer case is a Dana 20 w/ Hi/Lo range.
