This is a 1998 Jeep Wrangler 4.0 liter Sport with an automatic transmission. It has 124,000 miles. The engine runs great. I have been using a synthetic blend oil. It has an exhaust leak up by the engine probably an exhaust manifold gasket or from the y-pipe gasket. The transmission has a whining noise and it slips going from 2nd gear to 3rd gear. If I left off the gas and then back on it stops slipping and goes into 3rd gear. It has all of the gears and I still drive it everday. The back of the jeep on the drivers side has been hit and shortly after the rear axles started to make the tires wobble when I drive it. It is very noticeable and the tires do go back and forth. I'm not sure what it is but I'm sure someone could fix it. The frame looks fine. The rear quarter panel needs to be replaced. The rear door opens and closes just fine and the door frame in the back isn't bent. The jeep hasn't been abused it just got hit and needs a little work to make it perfect. The fender flares have some scraps and the two rear ones are cracked. The top doesn't leak but the stitches have come loose on the drivers side. Like all jeeps a new top wouldn't hurt. The tires have tread on them but I'm sure someone would probably upgrade and get rid of the stock rims and put bigger tires. Overall the jeep looks good the paint isn't bad. The drivers side seat has some wear. The roll bar covers are faded and have some rips. I took the carpet out so it wouldn't keep getting wet every time it rained when the top was down. This has been a really good jeep. I just don't have the money to fix it up right.
