Reluctantly i have decided to sell my 1962 Land Rover Series 2 109" pick up truck known in the Ontario beyond club circles as "Buttercup", i have owned the truck for 2 years and took on an abandoned restoration project and have completed it and had it safety inspected and registered for use in Ontario, as it 46 years old it can be used no problem pretty much in any jurisdiction including the USA, the key points are below.
Military Chassis has been repaired with new cross member epoxy coated and painted black.
Solid A1 firewall and door posts and kick panels.
Professional paint job inside and out.
New door rubbers, air vents and rubbers (needs 1 knob to close vent).
Full checker plate floor in cab and box
Storage Boxes have checker plate lids
Salisbury Axle to the rear perfect non rotted axle to the front good none leaking chrome swivels
Full new braking system converted to servo brakes new master cylinder and all brand new components throughout including all brake lines
1981 5 bearing 2.25 gas engine
Weber Carburettor

Tow ball 50mm / 2 inch
Steering protector
Rear jump seat
New protective grills for all running lights and indicators
Painless style wiring with dash mounted fuse box with blade type fuses (all connections soldered and heatshrunk) all wires are printed
every 5 inches what they do - The "Prince of Darkness" has been banished.
Working wipers and heater
Brand new gas tank and sender
New door locks
New tires inc box mounted spare inc refurbished rims
Overhauled steering system with 3 spoke period steering wheel
Fairey overdrive fully operational gives 1/2 ratio's in all gears effectively 16 forward speeds and 4 reverse if your dexterous enough!
Real English horseshoe on grill for luck
New springs and shock absorbers all round - fronts Armstrong's rear Old Man Emu's
Overhauled transmission and new clutch does not leak buckets - yes the odd drip now and then but she is 46 years old
The whole engine bay and transmission is clean and free of crud
New full exhaust system
Everything on this CEO's own play toy has been completed by Land Rover Salvage Inc only using new parts where required the truck would benefit from fitting the OEM black vinyl seats - we sell those new here and can supply a canvas roof should you wish to purchase we will give 10% off.
Inspections welcome there is nothing that this truck needs so save starting with a pile of bits and spending years building one and probably more than this and just buy it done make your own improvements and have that classic Land Rover Series you've promised yourself!
The fact of the matter is i have realised that i get more fun from restoring trucks for a living than actually driving them - i already have another project on the go and 5 other personal Land Rover's so i need to make room.
Please note: If your a newbie not having any idea of what this vehicle actually is why not visit the club site www.ovlr.ca and do some research, this truck needs to go to a true enthusiast to preserve for the next generations it is not something that ought to be butchered or heavily off roaded, there are precious few left and i challenge anyone to find a similar equipped Land Rover in such outstanding turn key condition for this low price.
