This is a 1996 Land Rover Discovery. It has been kept garaged and not started or driven since June of this year(wife got a company car). It did fire right up with no problem, and it idled perfectly. It did get new tires and front end alignment before it was parked in June. It also got a complete tune-up including: plugs, wires, oil and filter change, air filter, wiper blades, A.C. charge, thermostat, coolant flush and fill, etc. I did drive the truck and it runs very smooth, the transmission shifts the way it should, as does the transfer case. The A.C. is ice cold and the heat is very hot. All of the electronics work perfectly(power windows, locks, mirrors, seats, factory radio with 6 c.d. changer, all wipers front and rear, cruise control, both sunroofs, etc.). The only thing it will need is some attention to the brakes, the pedal is soft, but does pump up with little effort. Did not check, but may need brake fluid, or just a bleed. I am not a mechanic, and have very very limited mechanical knowledge. Your best bet would be to check it out in person if it is a big concern. Also I was told it needed a serpentine belt(slight cracking), which I purchased, but cannot figure how to change, so that will be included with the sale. This luxury s.u.v. has always been extremely reliable and has never left us standed, or broken down. We have always had all regular scheduled maintenance done at a local shop. I need it out of the garage before it snows, so it needs to go. We would keep it if we had the room. It is awesome in the snow, with the full-time all wheel drive, it is like nothing else.
