Vehicle Description
2000 Land Rover Discovery Series II TReK. 4 liter V8 with full time 4WD. This is a very rare example -- one of sixteen hand assembled by Land Rover Special Vehicles for '00. Unique Molten Orange color (only 32 Land Rovers this color ever imported to the US), factory graphic package, Safety Devices roof rack with special lighting and flooring, mud mats, 9,000 lb. Warn winch, sill rock sliders, etc. Also upgraded to include RTE front bumper and skid plate, F R differential guards, front axle guard, fuel tank skid, Greg Davis rear bumper, and OME 2" suspension lift, eliminating the prone to fail rear air suspension, and special wheels. The vehicle also has an Ashcroft Center Differential Lock (CDL) -- another expensive bolt on. NOTE: the headliner has also been redone and is in perfect condition. The truck is in very good condition (cosmetically), with minimal excuses. Very light decal fading with some discoloration on the decal below the fuel filler cap. (slight spill) Either way, it's a solid 8 on a scale of 1 to 10. This TReK is in excellent mechanical condition -- tires have less than 8k on them. Spare is new. Enthusiast owned and maintained from new. What the truck needs: Mechanically: very little. I've put 5k miles on this TReK and the oil has been changed twice. I just had the brakes done a few months back. Everything is tight -- all the guages work. The front driving / spot lights aren't working -- I've replaced the switch with a new one from the dealer but that didn't do the trick. Either way... it should be a quick fix unless you're mechanically challenged. (like me) It leaks a drop or two now and then -- I talked to the dealer and rec'd the reply: "of course -- it's British." Apparently this is quite common. What I'd fix if I was keeping the vehicle: 1. Upper rack paint has peeled in a few places and needs to be touched up. 2. Front driving / spot lights listed above. 3. Front seat has a couple of tears in the leather under the cover on the driver's side. Under the all weather cover so I don't think about it often. 4. Hand / emergency brake boot needs to be replaced as it's worn and looks crappy. 5. I'd have the rims repainted as the paint is scratched / peeling a bit in the center of the rims. 6. I would install rear work lights on the rear of the rack. The wiring is there for them but one of the brackets is missing. NOTE: THE FACTORY TREK FRONT SEAT COVERS AS PHOTOGRAPHED. I DO HAVE THE REAR FACTORY SEAT COVER AS WELL AND BOTH FRONT AND REAR ARE INCLUDED. Lastly: why am I selling it? Love the vehicle / TReK models so much that I went ahead and purchased a 2003. These things will go anywhere and look great doing it. It gets attention everywhere it goes -- everyone loves it. Please ask questions if you have them and I'll answer all to the best of my ability. If you have questions and would like me to call simply email me your number and I'll contact you as soon as I can. This is the first vehicle I've listed on eBay -- if I've screwed anything up please bring it to my attention. Thank you.
