Vehicle Description
Up for auction is my 1998 Land Rover Range Rover4.0 SE. This is a 4 liter V8 engine with all wheel drive. Car is equipped with homelink that can open/close garage door, control home alarm, lights ect.
This Range Rover was my daily driver until I got a company vehicle. My wife now has a company car as well and now we have no need or space for the Range Rover so it must go. As you can see in the pictures I have updated the rims to 19" rims off of a 2007 Range Rover. The tires are 255/55/19 and still have about 50-60% tread remaining. Other than that the only other modification made is the radio has been replaced. It now has a Pioneer CD player with detachable faceplate. The radio functions fine however the buttons on the faceplate have worn out. This Range Rover is still equipped with the adjustable air ride suspension and it it is in working order. Some of the pictures show the vehicle in different stages of ride height. I have noticed lately that if the vehicle sits without being used for about a week or more the shocks will drop, but they pump right back up after starting the engine.
INTERIOR
The leather seats are in good condition and do not have any rips. The Carpets are in good shape as well but could use a good cleaning.
The headliner and inside door pillars need to be repaired and the left rear inside door handle is broken.
The plastic trim around the instrument cluster has cracked.
EXTERIOR
The paint and clear coat is shiney and overall not too bad for a vehicle that is 10 years old. There are some scratches most of which could be buffed out, a few that can't. Also both rear quarter panels have some some dents. I have done my best to show these in the pictures.
Remote doorlocks do not work.
MECHANICAL
The motor runs great and very smooth. The Transmission is strong and shifts very smoothly. I replaced the Muffler, front and rear brake pads, and front rotors last year. There is a small oil leak that looks like it may be coming from the oil pan gasket but not possitive. There is also a problem with the AC. It works fine if it is not too hot out(above 85 degrees) But once it gets hot out the AC does not cool down.
As I said before this car has been reliable for for me and has never left me stranded, however, due to the reasons listed above winning bidder needs to understand that this is a used vehicle and will need some work to get it back into perfect condition. Therefore I am selling this vehicle in AS-IS condition with no warranty.
