Vehicle Description Up for bid is a 1967 Lincoln Continental with 80,924 original miles. Last full year of the 340hp 462cid. Engine. I bought this car for my wife 3-4 years ago and at that time I went through it mechanically to make it road worthy. Road worthy cost over $4,500 and included the following: Rebuilding of the C6 transmission, Engine was removed to replace the freeze plugs and while it was out of the car, it was cleaned up and given a valve job(including hardened seats for unleaded fuel), new oil pump, timing chain, water pump and gaskets. The carb was rebuilt. The fuel system was completely replaced from the carburator to the Re-lined fuel tank. New Radiator, hoses and belts. The brake system was also completely replaced including new steel lines front to back. The car was driven for approximately 2 years until the shifter collar on the steering colum broke and it was parked. I have two 1966 Lincoln steering colums 1 of which should work, but needs to be installed. It shouldn't take much to run and run good. The engine never knocked or smoked prior to parking the vehicle. The car is in overall very good condition. It has some dents and dings, the worst on the passenger front fender. The elderly lady who drove it before us had a little trouble finding her way into the garage. Very repairable. The unibody is solid and rust is just showing up around the rear wheel wells as bubbles under the paint. Floors are solid as is the trunk. The paint is original dark green metalic with the exception of the trunk lid and touch up paint on a door. The interior is dark green leather with no rips or tears, just normal leather creasing. The carpet is good and the headliner is excellent. The dash has one split along one side of the radio speaker. These cars are getting harder to find and are a joy to drive. I have lowered the buy it now price and removed the reserve in hopes of finding this Classic American Cruiser a good home. This car is for sale locally, so auction can be ended at any time. Serious Bidders should consider the BUY IT NOW option. Car is sold as is where is. Must trailer. Car weighs 5089lbs. and is approximately 18 feet long. Sold with bill of sale and clean Kansas Title. Deposit of $500.00 due within 2 days of auction end. Balance to be paid at time of pick up.(2-weeks prefered) Deposits will not be refunded.
