1973 Lincoln Continental Mark IV Amazing the things you stumble across when your not looking...this Lincoln is my Uncles, he has owned it from new, and travelled a mere 33000 miles over its 35year life...1000 miles per year, when I asked him why the low milage, he replys..."back when I purchased it, no one else had anything like it around here and I was to modest to drive it during the day, so only took it out at night" I guess he got into a habit of night driving and little of it at that. Anyway Im here on holiday ( from New Zealand ) and stumbled across it in one of his farm sheds, when I asked him about it he said it is time to let it go...so I had the job of prep. for sale, I am a qualified Mechanic and have had a great time getting it ready...if I could ship it back to NZ I would. At present I am working on an exhaust leak, both headers are being resurfaced, new gaskets used. I have given it a complete tune up, replaced points/plugs etc, oil and filters, cooling system flush and change. There seems to be a trans. leak that I intend to get to next, not sure where from yet, but hope to have it fixed, I will post if it is anything major. I am only here for a couple more weeks so may not be around to see it go.
