Vehicle Description
I have owned this classic Lotus for the past 20 years and has been off the road for the past 14 years. I last drove it five years ago but the brakes have since rusted and have seized. I have started and run the engine every year and have put fresh gas in and ran it recently. This car has remarkable cornering capability and is very lightweight.
This has a 2.0 liter 160 h.p. engine with a bulletproof four speed transmission. The fiberglass body is in good condition other than the paint has peeled off in a few spots. The exhaust system has rusted and needs to be replaced. Most parts are still available for this vehicle.
The interior is in poor condition and is in need of restoration. The front Recaro seats are only in need of new material. The fuse holders have oxidized and in need of replacement as many of the circuits are recently not working. The wheels were replaced with larger 14" size and are worth over $1000. new. The tires have lots of tread and hold pressure but may need replacement due to their age.
