The is one of the finest examples of the legendary MG C in The Unites States. 1968 was the last year with the contrasting piping on genuine leather seats. The GT is outfitted with fresh Wilton wool carpets. the brightwork is as it left he factory. The engine comes to life with a deep roar/ this was the MG's finest hour. A Six cylinder touring sports car that delivers 145 hp. This was the competitor to the newly introduced 6 cylinder porsche 911.
The example at hand is finished in Grampian Grey--with a Red interior--quite possibly the best color combo Leyland had to offer. The complete do-over includes new headliner, visors, and a complete interior. It is difficult to decide if the interior or the outside finish is in better condition.
All in all this is close to a Condition One vehicle. AND a vehicle that was only made for two years--1968 and 1969. We have just spent $4,000 freshening the seals, joints and brake system.
Please look carefully at the door sills, door jams and . They display the care and painstaking effort this collectable has undergone.
