Vehicle Description For your delight I am offering one the most outstanding MGA Roadsters ever sold on Ebay. Throughout the last 10 years I have seen lots of these fine British cars sold on Ebay; most of them at different stages of restoration. Well, here is one example you do not want to miss… This is a 1961 MKII 1600 MGA Roadster. A couple of years ago the previous owner took this car off the frame and began a full restoration which he was unable to complete. As you can see from the pictures, the complete drive train, brakes, suspension, and body are already done. As per the previous owner, the engine was started after assembly but the car has not been driven a single mile! The carburetors are still wrapped in plastic; I am assuming to prevent condensation from building up. It has disc brakes up front; the master cylinder appears brand new; the gas tank also appears brand new (or nicely restored). The floor boards are even varnished and all seams properly sealed! The only thing left to do on this car is the interior. I have an album full of pictures documenting the restoration! I also have a box full of receipts and manuals. All of the body panels are extremely solid. The doors do need to be re-aligned to fit perfectly. There are a few scuffs on the paint as seen on the pictures but the car still displays a very good driver quality paint job. If your intention is a show car you would more than likely need to have the paint refreshed. The door jams and strikers are perfect. Most of the gauges are currently disconnected. Look at the attention to detail under the instrument panel! I have five boxes full of parts that include several brand new headlights, windshield to body seals, several hoses (heater, radiator, etc.), light lenses for front and rear, chrome pieces, and just too many parts to list; many of which are still in original boxes and plastic bags! In addition to the rear bumper installed on the car I have a brand new set of rear and front bumpers still in plastic! I also have the complete seats and frames; which of course, need to be re-upholstered. The windshield is cracked and will need to be replaced and the frame will need to be re-chromed. I have all of the cock pit rails which also look to be brand new, never installed. The car also has a brand new, complete exhaust system. I have the convertible top frame but no top. Everything you need to complete this car is here! The pictures were taken on a very cloudy day; therefore, there are quite a few clouds “reflecting” on the body. Please do not think for a single minute that this is a parts car or half finished project. This is actually a “naked-truth” vehicle that leaves nothing to the imagination; an extremely meticulous restoration that just needs to be finished. You do not have to wonder what’s under the carpet or under the car; this is an extremely transparent representation of the condition of the car. With a couple thousand dollars you will have yourself a show car! I will ship this car worldwide provided it is paid in full and all funds cleared before shipping. I will store the car at no additional cost and allow the buyer ample time to make shipping arrangements. I am well acquainted with a gentleman who ships cars overseas and can put you in contact with him for the transaction. Of course, the buyer pays all costs and you are also welcome to make your own shipping arrangements. Payment may be by certified bank check or money order, by wire transfer to bank account, or by loan check once cleared. Paypal is only acceptable through verified accounts. Buyer agrees to pay the remaining balance due within 7 days of the close of the auction. All financial transactions must be completed before delivery of the vehicle. Vehicle is sold as is with A Notarized Bill of Sale and does not have warranty. I reserve the right to end the auction early in the event the vehicle is sold locally. I will answer all questions within 12 hours of the auction ending. On Jul-01-08 at 14:31:20 PDT, seller added the following information: A kind expert on MGA's has pointed out to me that this is not a Mark II but a Mark I Series. I thought I'd let all of you know.
