I purchased this MGB in 11/84 it had 64,684 miles. It had been used as a commuter car. During the 24 years I have had the car, it was used as a weekend car and spent all of its life garaged and covered. It has never been in the rain since 1984 and thus has no rust. Currently it is set-up with all of the stock California legal smog control components. ( passed California smog in 12/05 which was the last time I really was driving it ) In California, next year, it will be ok to install the Webber carb and header which is included. The performance is much improved over the stock carb and the car actually gets better gas mileage. The mechanics are very good considering this is almost a 30 year old car. Everything works including the clock. It starts very quickly and drives well. The engine is clean. The transmission does have the overdrive option and it works. Nothing will need to be done to start driving. I modified the fan system so it runs all the time. This keeps the engine much cooler. I modified the brake light switch with an OEM switch. (original switch kept shorting out ) The tires have with plenty of tread, but are very old. The rear shocks have been upgraded to Spax and the handling is better than stock. I am including the downdraft Webber carb, manifold and header in this sale. Also included are the tail pipe/muffler bolt on connections needed for the Webber upgrade. Overall, you don’t need to buy anything. The spare is the original tire which came with the car but does not hold air for more than a day. The body is average +. I bought the car with a crack on the front rubber bumper which is why I put a bra on the car. ( see photo ) The hood has a few scrapes and a small dime size dent. ( see photo ) Overall the body is very clean. The car had been repainted when I bought it. Not the best paint job I have ever seen, but good when just looking at the car. The upholstery is original and in good condition with no tears. I replaced the top when I got the car and it still is in excellent condition. (windows are still clear) As you can see by the photos I have all of the original cab covers for the car plus a full and partial cover. I’m getting ready for retirement, so it is now time to let go of my longest owning car. I don’t need to sell it, but figure it is time to let go. Good luck on your
