What a nice little project car this is! Great Arizona survivor, completely rust-free. It has a decent top, an expensive Nardi real wood steering wheel and I think aftermarket mag wheels. The undercarriage is not all beat and bent and the body still has mostly original paint. I call it a project because it is currently not running. To the best of my knowledge it is need of a headgasket. It also for sure needs the thermostat housing where the upper radiator hose attaches. The engine does turn over. I bought it pretty much the way it sits here now with the intention of reviving it. Unfortunately I had an un-expected change in my proffessional life and can't afford a toy right now. I purchased the little roadster here in town from a gentleman who went through the same situation that I fell into. Originally the vehicle was in Arizona City AZ and it is claimed that it used to belong to student at ASU who commuted in it between there and Tempe. At some point allegedly the head gasket blew and the car was parked. Somewhere along the way the keys got lost and the little car was never fixed. The 5 digit odometer shows 21,433 mls. Since I never drove it, I don't know if it works. The title says 210000 mls and is marked " in excess of odometers mechanical limit ". I am thinking the 210k mile entry might be a mistake based on the mileage shown on the odometer is essentially 21k. I am guessing the correct mileage might be around 121k. But nonetheless it is what is. I guess someone could give the car a total restoration, or go over the mechanical parts and drive it the way it is. There are several scratches and dents in various areas on the car. I believe the front and the doors to be the original orange paint, the rear section of the car appears to have been re-painted at one time. There are no signs that indicate an accident or replaced body panels. The windshield has cracked and should be replaced. The dashboard top, like all AZ cars, has a crack. The seats should be re-upholstered and a carpet kit installed. At somepoint it looks like someone tried to close the trunklid with the prop rod still locked. The top is OK and useable in my opinion. The Nardi wheel and aftermarket rims lead me to believe that this car lived a fairly sheltered life until it quit running. If you have any questions, do not hesitate to call or come by. The car is at my house in NE Phoenix. Michael 602 316 1634. If you do decide to bid, there is a chance you might win. Please be prepared to complete the purchase if you engage in this auction.
