I purchased this MGB from the original owner with 69,000 miles in 1983 and have enjoyed it for over 25 years. My automotive tastes have changed and its time to pass this great sportscar to the next owner. The odometer now shows just over 90,000 miles which is accurate, verifiable and correct. The B received a cosmetic restoration in the mid-eighties including replacement of sills, rockers, lower fenders and doglegs. All rust repair was carried out to the highest standard. Internal surfaces have been treated with POR-15. Rust in the future is not likely. At that time the car received a thorough bare-metal repaint in the original shade of "Snowberry White". The seats were refinished with the correct Leather upholstery. Carpeting and OEM top was replaced as well. I have photo documentation of the work carried out. Mechanically, the MG is strong and capable of traveling reliably. Over the years many components have been replaced or rebuilt including: All brakes and hydraulics, carburetors, front and rear suspension bushings, springs, and king pins. Tires and battery were recently refreshed. This is a great driving and sounding sportscar. The exhaust is a new Stainless Steel Performance Exhaust that has a deep throaty sound, just a bit louder than stock. The Engine and Transmission are in perfect working order and are original to the car. This MG really needs nothing but a new owner to enjoy it. Is it perfect? No. There are a few detractions. The original BMC radio is in place but is not hooked up. Original Side reflectors were not replaced when restored. The windshiel has a few light "windshield wiper" scratches that should be polished out. There are a few touch ups in the paint where rocks made chips. This MG has been like a member of our family, always garaged and covered, never driven in bad weather. At least since 1983. It is well known to the British Car Community in Southern New Jersey having attended numerous shows, club outings and Sunday drives. There is no reason to assume that it will not bring another 25 years of pleasure to the next owner. Included are original Tonneau, owner manual, jack and bag, top cover and support bars with bag. Heritage Certificate describing pedigree. "MGB" license plates will not be included. Partial payment of $1000 requested via. PayPal within 48 hours. Balance to be paid in secure funds prior to pick up in South Jersey. I can assist with delivery to a port of departure but all shipping costs and arrangements will be the responsibility of the buyer.
