Vehicle Description This is a 1964 MG, Midget. VIN# GAN2L25470 , Odometer reads: 04052 (but its 104052 because when we got it was 93xxx) It has not been driven for the past 3 years. It has been sitting under the tan car cover that is in the pix with the battery disconnected over my dad's garage. Before parking it, the brakes, lights, engine, transmission, clutch, light signals, basically it was a proper driving car with no problems of any kind. While sitting, Tires have not lost air or anything. As a matter of fact, they are in very good shape. You should be able to get a lot of miles out of them before changing them. I brushed oil under the car because I knew it would sit for a year that I was out of state with work, (I allways do that if a car is going to sit for more than six months, it prevents oxygenation, so there is no rust, although it's parked on a concrete slab indoors, please pay attention to exhause pipe that was not brushed with oil due to being hot, it has rusted, although I do not see any holes through, due to it's brushed with clean oil, you can simply pressure wash it without any soap).I am definitely glad that I did because it turned out to be 3 years. The driver seat cover has been ripped. I dont know how, but the main frame of the seat and structure is fine. They sell the vinyl cover that is attached to a .25" thick foam (could be purchased inexpensively) that easily can be changed, because it is attached to the metal frame of the seat with clips. The steering turns just fine, but as you can see in the pictures, it has been cracked, I don't know how. It was like that when I bought it and we drove it like that for couple of years with no problem, but I found the steering that you see in the picture on ebay about 4 years ago with the intention of changing it but have not, it is of the same year, same car, but have not replaced it nor am I planning to do so. It will go with the car. I removed the front carpeting that is not really in a good shape anyhow to show that on the floor pans there is no rust through or anything. As a matter of fact, the passenger side doesn't even have a surface rust, but as you see in the pictures, the driver side has very little surface rust that can be taken care of very easily and painted. The trunk has no rust. Actually there is no rust to speak of on the entire car as you can see in the pix. On the front bumper there is a small amount of surface rust/pitting starting to occur that could easily be taken care of. When we parked the vehicle, we left it in second or third gear. When I wanted to move it, I pressed the clutch in order to release from the gear to neutral. It did not want to come out of gear. I have not played with it, nor have I tried hard to change gears, and obviously I know better not to start a vehicle that has been sitting for that period of time, even if the battery is charged without doing proper maintenance that is needed. The top as you see in the pix is in perfect condition because it was removed and laid flat, the see through nylon of the top is not yellowed by sun damage. The brakes don't seem to be seized. I would have noticed if they were when I was towing the MG. I moved the vehicle for 50 miles to my garage using a tow dolly by disconnecting the bolts and knots of the drive shaft. This vehicle could easily be road worthy or restored, but I don't have the time or the desire for MGs anymore. As you can tell by my ebay name LOVCLASSICCARS, both my wife and I collect cars. My collection consists of the 1960s Cadillac Convertibles, and my wife collects suicide door Lincolns. There was a time that we would collect any car, and that is why we have this MG, and we have had MGs previously. If you go back in the history of my feedback, I have sold several cars, all classics. Please review the buyer's feedback and you shall see they all have been very happy with their purchase. I have sold to as far as Sweden. Never had any problems and always been a great experience for the buyer and I. In one of the pictures you see me, that I am no longer of a size that fits in an MG, so therefore, this vehicle is not desirable for us, and as you know half the joy of owning a classic car is the pride of restoring the vehicle. I am aware if I was to restore/make it drive ready it would be selling for a higher price, but I rather someone else puts the effort in and enjoys the vehicle more. I have been told by the previous owner whom I know on a personal level that it's all original, and I do believe him. I also have been told that the vehicle has had no accidents or been molested in any way, form or shape. The only thing that you might consider a molestation, is that he added a radio and CD player with an electric antenna and a speaker in the back that I have removed. He had not drilled any holes for mounting the stereo system, and as you see in the pictures, the antenna is no longer there, but by viewing the trunk picture, you do see the cover of the speaker still being on the vehicle. Please look at the frame pictures that I have tried to take in the best way I could, to notice there is no frame damage or excessive rust even the muffler is in good shape but exhaust pipe although has no holes it is rusty as you see in the pix. My Buy Now on this MG is $4,000.00 My reserve is slightly lower than the Buy Now. If your feedback is below 10 or less than 100% please contact me by email before bidding.
