Up for auction is this 1972 MG Midget. This car was last on the road in 1983. It has been sitting in a garage since then. I'll tell you the good first, and then the bad. The good: Car is original and 99% complete.
there is very little rust for it,s age. The floor pans have surface rust but are sturdy enough to stand on and have no holes. As you can see from the pictures I removed the carpeting and padding so the floorboards
are visible. I also removed the material from the top frame as it was very brittle. It would appear that this car spent most if not all of it's life in Texas which has been good for it. Body is very straight. This is not a
rustbucket but is a very good restoration candidate being that it has not had any noticeable modifications. The bad: Needs complete restoration, top, interior, Motor should be rebuilt, the rest of the drive train
should be inspected and serviced, brakes do not pump up, clutch feels ok, Look, this car has been sitting for well over twenty years. I put a battery in the car to see if the engine would turn over and it did not.
The lights, signals, windsheild wipers, and radio all worked. The AM radio actually sounded pretty good and has the British Leyland logo on the front. There is a small dent on the very front of the hood that I
took a picture looking down at, as well as a small dent in the driver side rear that was caused by the bumper being pushed into it. I took a picture of this as well. The only thing That I can tell is missing is the
MG badge on the front grill. The pictures tell the story on this car. Odometer reads 61K but I have no way of knowing if that is actual. I have a signed, clear title to the vehicle. All title work, registration, etc. is
the responsibilitry of the buyer. Buyer responsible for vehicle pickup. Would consider delivery within approx 200 miles for reasonable additional costs. Bidders with no history please contact me first. No warranty
