Vehicle Description
This 1952 MG TD is unrestored. The previous owner bought it in 1953 and drove it until the late 1970s when he parked it inside his garage and starting driving an MGA. It sat inside his garage until I bought it a year ago. The owner died four years earlier. It is all original and has the correct engine and serial numbers. It is missing one hood handle and the tail light cover, both of which are easily replaced. It has some dents and scratches and the paint is poor. The car appears to have been repainted at least once and I think that it was red originally. The body wood looks good. The previous owner started doing some work to it before he died. He replaced the top and tires as well as the exhaust system. It also looks like he did some supsension work to it. With a little work it can be cleaned up and made operational. It could be used "as is" but would be a great starting point for the restoration of an original car. It has been in the South Carolina for over 20 years.
The car is being sold AS IS - WHERE IS, and there are not guarantees / warranties expressed or implied. It has a clear titile. The successful bidder will be expected to pay a deposit of 10% on the winning bid within 48 hours of the close of the auction. The balance is due within 7 days of the close of the auction. The vehicle will not be released until all funds have cleared. The winning bidder is responsible for the transportation of the car. If you have questions, please contact me. Once you have won the auction it is to late, the car is yours. I will assist in making shipping arrangements if necessary. I reserve the right to end this auction early, as the car is being advertised elsewhere.
Good luck with your bidding!
