Listed Again is my 1994 Mazda Miata M-Edition. I find myself needing to downsize as I am facing a potential near term move and this car is one to many object to have to worry about!
The Vehicle History Check shows some previous salvage history back in 1997 so I had to change the title in the listing. The current GA title that I hold shows no issues so???
The car does have all of its original VIN stickers on the front panels and passenger door frame, I am assuming it was hit in the rear during the 1997 accident. I have been driving and enjoying this car for over a year with no problems whatsoever, that includes alignment, mechanical and electrical and I encourage local test drives and ask you to view the car before committing to a bid. I have sold several vehicles on eBay and strive to be as direct and straightforward as I can with my listings. I have driven this car to work ( sixty mile round - trip ) on many occasions and have had no issues with it. I have NEVER had to top off the oil in between changes and see no evidence of abnormal oil-consumption.
The 1994 was the first year with the larger 1.8 liter engine, improved chassis bracing, dual airbags, and a much stronger transmission. The 94 is also the last year NOT to have an OBD port which can be very handy for forced induction applications when it comes time to passing emissions inspections. The M edition included leather seats, leather wrapped steering wheel, an Torsen Limited Slip Differential, stainless steel door sills, and all power options that other 94 model year Miata's had ( cruise, power windows, etc ).
. The car has past emissions twice now with flying colors ( see attached picture ) Here is a list of the work I have personally performed on the vehicle in the last 12 months or LESS
- Replaced springs with Eibach's that gave the car a 1.5" drop ( it is LOW )
- Replaced worn struts with KYB 8 way adjustable struts
- Added fat cat bum stops to regain suspension travel
- Installed in the last couple of monthe four new Khumho tires with 50K warranty ( see attached picture )
- Installed Brembo Cross Drilled and Slotted Rotors
- Installed Hawk Pads
- Installed Speed Bleeders for Brake Calipers
- Replaced all brake fluid
- Installed NEW top with five year warranty ( and correct zip-out rear window ) - I also replaced the Rain Rail
- Installed two new tail-light gaskets AND third brake light gasket
- Installed Valve Cover Gasket
- Recent Mobil 1 fully synthetic oil change
- Replaced and tranny and rear diff fluid - everything looked pretty clean when I emptied it.
- Replaced plugs and wires
- Installed Hella - Super tone horns - they are LOUD
- The timing belt was replaced in the last 20K miles ( according to the dealer I purchased the car from in NC ). I can confirm that the belt is in good condition, shows no cracking or un-even wear
- Replaced faulty OEM stereo with aftermarket Kenwood single CD player ( with AUX input )
- Installed Infinity Kappa component speakers in front doors (with separated tweaters ) - also installed three way 4" speakers in rear deck ( head rest speakers are disabled )
- System is driven by Sony 4 Channel Amplifier
The car WILL need paint at some point, its okay but lots of little dings and scratches here and there, no corrosion that I have seen. There is also a dent in the passenger side door panel, it is pretty shallow but about 18" long, it is hard to photograph with the metallic paint on the car.
The Wheels are all original - light weight aluminum, to my knowledge, none are damaged ( no dents etc ) but the finish is rough on them
The dash is in very good shape, no cracks or fading. The carpet is pretty clean, no holes or burn-marks, but the floor mats ( which are also original ) are stained.
The drivers side front seat shows a lot of wear in certain areas and is in need of recovering at some point, the passengers side is pretty clean with only one small tear in it.
Virtually every system works on the car, a/c, cruise, stereo, windows, etc. The only issues that I am aware of is the power antennae does not work and there is a squeak from the left front wheel when I turn the steering to full-lock ( sounds like the dust cover is rubbing on something ). You would not notice it in daily driving and I may have it repaired before the auction is over.
Thats about all I can think of at the moment. PLEASE email me with any questions or to view the car. I am available most weeknights and next weekends to show it.
thank you for your interest and I DO reserve the right to end the auction at any time for the right offer. If you have little or no feedback on eBay, please contact me first or I may cancel your bid.
A deposit of $200.00 within 48hours is required to keep me from re-listing the car upon close of auction.
