BEAUTIFUL RX7 VERT - TII CONVERSION 225 RW HP
That's right! A 1988 RX7 convertible with running gear from a Turbo II 5 speed.
The engineering was done by long-time Mazda builder and racer, Bret dePedro at RP Performance of Summit Point Raceway. This included the installation of a completely rebuilt and street-tuned TII motor, 5 spd transmission with new HD clutch and rear running gear. According to Bret, this combination provides a nice 225 rear-wheel horsepower combination of exciting performance and driveability. My cost $6000 + $400 for the aluminum TII hood.
The body was recently painted Mercedes Black Obsidian Metallic at Swedish Motor Cars' high-tech body shop in Falls Church, VA. I have had my tuned Saab Aero serviced there for over ten years. My cost $2000
The interior boasts Corbeau leather buckets ($1200), a Momo wheel and gauge wiring to the A-pillar
All work was done recently and the finished car has about 2,000 miles on it.There is no radio. But the wiring is there for the after market of your choice. There is also a small sratch (1/2") on the passenger leather seat.
Round rear lights from 1990 model
Having these cars built right is the job for professionals and they do not happen on a shoe-string budget.
