Up for sale is a PRISTINE 1 LADY OWNER 1985 Mazda RX7 with only 42,921 original miles. ALL ORIGINAL CAR--NEVER IN AN ACCIDENT--ORIGINAL PAINT, BODY, and INTERIOR. This car is a true original survivor and I feel safe to say there are very few examples left in the country this clean and unmolested. 5 Speed, sunroof, original am/FM radio w/power antenna, manual choke. This is the last year for the 1st generation body style. Serviced regulary since new with with all receipts dating back to 1985, including original pre-delivery inspection sheet, original window sticker, warranty booklet, maintenance log, and owners manual. New battery and PA inspection. Runs and drives flawless, smooth shifting, tight handling, uses no oil, no leaks, mechanically sound and ready to drive anywhere.
Original paint is as nice as your going to find, nice shine, no visible dings, I only saw one TINY scratch on the rear fender which is so small I probably shouldn't mention it. Most people will see no visible flaws on the body, to the fussy collectors the slightest amount of wear. Never any body repairs. Car had a bra cover on since 1988 when on the road, and was removed when it was parked in the garage, so the front nose and bumper don't have those typical nics and paint chips you see on most vehicles, just a couple TINY imperfections (I have close-ups of the nose).
NEVER SMOKED IN--interior is as close to new as you will find, no fading, rips, tears, burns, or visible blemishes. Both front seats and rear compartment were covered from new with sheepskins on the seats and a blanket in the rear, the front fabric on the seats looks new (see PIC) NO FADING on the interior anywhere including the rear compartment. The wear mark seen on the side of the drivers seat bottom in the PIC is on the skeepskin itself, not the seat! NO DISAPPOINTMENTS with the interior. All four 185 70 13 tires are almost new, mounted on original sharp Mazda rims.
I looked at all the 1985 RX7's being offered on eBay over the last several weeks up to and including today and this car is head and shoulders above the competition.
No major repairs ever needed (idler arm replaced), just normal maintenance like oil and filter changes, brakes, tires, inspections, and tune-ups. Lady owner is selling due the fact she hardly ever uses the car anymore, she'd love to see it get a good home. There is nothing wrong with the car, after 23 years of faithful ownership she says 'its time.' No AC, manual windows.
