For sale is a 1982 MB 240D. This is a relist because of a VIN issue that has been resolved. All documents/numbers match. The obvious bad thing about this car is that it was rear ended by a scion (small Toyota) a few months ago and is missing two pieces of trim. The vehicle starts and runs without problems, it was driven for several months after it was hit. The interior is in fair condition but its not a ratsnest. I am the third owner, the second was a mechanic from a long standing MB repair shop (their information is listed in the service records). The car sits on a set of Michellin MXV4 195/70/14, the tires alone are almost as much as the initial price and the still have plenty on them. Recent repairs include: starter, master cylinder, shift stick bushings. After it was hit the odometer stopped working, it may have 2500 to 3500 unlogged miles. The A/C does not blow cold but the blower works, the compressor and fan are installed. The vacuum locks work including the fuel door and trunk. All the maintenance records along with original manuals/factory literature will be included (see pics). The engine has been mantained using Castrol GTX 20W50 and a quart of Barhal. Recently I substituted the Bardhal with Lucas oil stabilizer with good results. The transmission shifts without problems and the clutch is good. Feel free to ask questions before bidding, I will answer them as quickly as possible. The vehicle will be delivered with a full tank of diesel (approx. 17 gallons) and fresh oil. This vehicle runs on diesel but can be converted to run on vegetable oil.

Update: Over the weekend I took the battery for a recharge at Autozone, after checking it they decided to replace it for a brand new one, the air filter was also replaced. I also forgot to mention in 2002 all four shock were replaced with new units along with several front end componets (bushings etc..) All shock are still in excellent working condition, no crazy bouncing when driven. The oil has been changed (Castrol 20W50 with Lucas oil stabilizer), tires have the proper amount of air and title is in hand.
