For sale: 1993 Mercedes-Benz 300E 2.8 6cyl. Wdbea28e4pb866506.
This is my brother's vehicle, he has owned it for over 2 years as a daily driver. All maintenance done on time. Very clean inside and out. Beautiful car. Runs strong and well with a newly rebuilt automatic transmission ($900.00 bill, less than 1k miles ago). Cd player (Blaupunkt), leather seats, power everything, drivers/passenger airbags, a/c, abs, sunroof, cruise, wood trim (no cracks), 16 inch aluminum wheels (Hercules 205/55/16 tires). Everything works well inside and out. Good gas mileage for a 6 cylinder. (approx 20 mpg)
Salvage Title, sold as is, where is. For those that do not know what a salvage title means, here is a brief description. Please research more in depth if you so desire. In California (and some other states) when a car is damaged, stolen, vandalised, etc. and the insurance company pays out the owner it is given over to a used car auction and that auction sells the vehicles, sometimes with light or no damage and sometimes as an unusable wreck. The insurance company decides the car is a "total loss" so they can pay the owner its full value and then try to salvage some of the money by selling the vehicle at an auction, making the DMV call those vehicles salvaged because they were brought back into the system when purchased at the auction.
This vehicle was purchased out of a used car auction containing a salvage title because the drivers side door and fender were damaged. New oem parts were used to repair the damage, original mercedes color paint was used to match the color of the car. The car runs like new. Please come test drive it or take it to a mechanic. Use carfax to see its previous history.
Here are a few problems with the car. The windshield is cracked in the bottom portion near the windshield wiper. Minor flaw in the paint on the trunk, and a small scratch on the rear door bottom plastic piece. The rear side mirrors control button is missing/still works.
