This auction is for a 1985 300CD Mercedes Pillarless Coupe. Car used to be black originally and has been very badly painted. Engine and drivetrain are strong and perfect for veggie diesel or other bio fuel conversion. Starts no issue runs perfect however there is a problem shutting the engine off which means you need to pop the hood open and hit the kill switch. Alloy Wheels are average condition Vintage correct mercedes originals and brakes are fairly new. Gearbox does what it should. All lights are fine but have some over spray! Did I mention the crappy spray job? Chrome is mostly good or polishable apart from the chrome strip that runs from front to back down both sides. which has been screwed to the car. bumpers are near perfect, Doors are goodish, All windows work. Sunroof works, Exhaust/Muffler is in great shape with no farty noises. Tires are 70-80%. Carpets and seats in good shape, dash is in good shape but some of the wood needs replaced or glued back on. I would suggest using this as a parts car however it is restorable. Would really need rockers repaired. It runs and drives just fine with some new parts for the drive train some not even installed! I loaded a couple of better pics. You can see the top links are new and the intercooler is new also. I drove it up our road this morning, steering is perfect with no play, shift's well, shocks seem good. Looks like a new ebrake cable. Tires are more like 90%. Original Becker take/Radio not currently installed. I bought this as a parts car for when I could find a near perfect CD. However my 1993 300E snapped it's back axles and Aldergrove Parts in BC want 595 per Axle. Hence this car has to go. Please if you want more info /photo's let me know.
