JUST OUT OF BOSS'S PERSONAL STORAGE: RARE 1978 MERCEDES BENZ 300CD 2-door coupe with the 5 cylinder DIESEL enine and only 055,798 original miles!! Car has the automatic transmission, power steering and brakes, power windows, air conditioning, alloy wheels, etc......
Interior is all there and decent but has some wear and tear here and there. Small cracks in dash pad and dash wood trim, some trim panels in rear are loose and one is broken, some wear in headliner/trim panels but all still useable and decent overall.
Body has some rust on the lower body edges and around all jack points underneath...see pics. Some holes at these spots but floor pans are good. Rockers/rear wheel wells also have some rust starting at spots as well as the rear splash pan under trunk lid (where license plate goes). Drivers front fender has some bodywork done to it. Some trim is loose also. Hood has some dents and paint chipping, passenger door has a dent also. Car needs some boywork but still looks decent overall. *********Project car.
OK, here is the story with this one: Car was titled in Maryland with 41,580 actual miles in November 2004. Car had the throttle linkage stolen from it in late 2005 and was sitting until now. We had bought it at a donation auction for a parts car....BUT.....WE HAVE IT RUNNING------at an idle only, still missing some throttle linkage and the a/c belt. Car runs and drives on lot....AT IDLE ONLY!!! *****CANNOT BE DRIVEN HOME******Needs towed, trailered or shipped!!!
