You are bidding on a repaired collision, “Rebuilt title” (Previously salvage) 2006 Mercedes Benz CL 55 AMG! This vehicle was purchased from an insurance company with repairable body damage to the right side body (side swipe) front bumper, and left rear quarter panel as well. There were no major impact points; the majority of the damages were peeled/scuffed cosmetics. We replaced the front bumper assembly, grill, right head light, right fender, right door and we repaired the Quarter panels. All parts used for repairs were original OEM ME/BE parts. There were never any deployed air bags on the vehicle. The interior and drive train were always complete and intact, and the vehicle always ran and drove. These photos represent the vehicles current condition. Most if not all repairs have been made with the exception of the wheels (rims) that have curb rash (all 4) This vehicle is one of the cheapest CL55’s in the country hands down, and has only 14k. Keep in mind this vehicle is a repaired collision and you should not expect it to be a brand new car purchased from the dealer. There are be slight imperfections and or areas that were over looked post repairs. We try to give the most accurate descriptions as possible but always encourage in person inspections to be performed prior to bidding. This vehicle is being used on a daily basis and the mileage will be accumulating accordingly. All interior functions of the vehicle operate as they should, and the vehicle thus far has been mechanically sound.
AMG. Those three letters are as revered by auto enthusiasts as ERA or RBI are by baseball fanatics. But what do they stand for and what are they doing affixed to various Mercedes-Benz vehicles? The first two letters stand for the names of the founders: Hans-Werner Aufrecht and Erhard Melcher, and the last letter signifies where the company was born: Grossaspach, Germany, back in 1967. What Mr. A and Mr. M did was modify Mercedes-Benz automobiles for better performance, be it for road use or racing, in which they were heavily involved. As the years went on, AMG became known as a premier tuner of Mercedes-Benz automobiles, and eventually offered interior and exterior modifications, such as custom instruments, steering wheels and seats as well as ground effects, spoilers and wheels. The company did such a great job that Mercedes-Benz brought it in-house in 1990, and as a result AMG now has its own high-performance skunk works, similar to rival BMW's "M" division. There is now an AMG version of nearly every Benz model, from the C-Class' C55 to the CL-Class' CL65, and they all feature powerful engines, agile suspensions and subtle accents inside and out to set them apart from their more common brethren.
