Vehicle Description
This 2006 R-500 with navigation, heated seats (front rear), rear entertainment system, and power lift gate is still covered by the 4 year 50k mile warranty. This car was purchased new at Park Place Mercedes in Dallas by the current owner. It has never been in an accident and never smoked in.
I am listing this vehicle for a friend who is the original owner. I have driven and visually inspected this vehicle as described below. It was purchased new for a price of over $65,000. Edmunds.com lists the current Dealer Retail for this vehicle in clean condition with all the optional equipment at $48,610. However, there is no reserve so the high bidder will be the proud new owner.
The vehicle can ve viewed at our office during business hours. A map and directions can be found on our firm's website at www.mulliganlaw.com.
Over 50 detailed photos can be viewed at http://s227.photobucket.com/albums/dd91/atlaw4u/R500/
A $250 deposit will be required via PayPal or other agreeable means and received within 3 business days. I have shipped a few vehciles in the past so I will be happy to assist in any way I can. Also, our office is a short distance from DAL or DFW airport so you may want to consider flying in and driving it home. The vehicle is very clean with a few very minor flaws which should be expected for a 2 year old car with almost 27,000 miles. I have attempted to photograph the few flaws I could locate but as they are quite minimal they are difficult to see. I was able to find a few very small door dings, the front area has a few very minor rock chips and the second row seat has a few blemishes in the leather. I've personally driven the vehicle and can attest that it drives as it should and all the electronics work as expected.
Mercedes-Benz labels its new R-Class a premium sports tourer -- three rows of two seats, an elongated profile -- that'll likely have you labeling it a very upscale, rather attractive wagon. The R-Class is based on the concept Vision GST, or "Grand Sports Tourer," that debuted at the North American International Auto Show in 2002, and the production vehicle has remained mostly true to the concept.
The R500 is powered by the manufacturer's veteran 5.0-liter, 302-horse V8 linked to the superb seven-speed automatic. Safety features include all-wheel drive coupled with electronic traction control, stability control, BrakeAssist and four-wheel discs with antilock.
Standard equipment on the R500 include 18-inch alloy wheels, leather seating, power front seats, dual-zone automatic climate control full power accessories, CD player with an auxiliary MP3 jack, driver seat memory, heated front seats, burl walnut wood trim, TeleAid and a glovebox-mounted six-CD changer.
Included options are HID headlights, panaromaic dual sunroofs, rear-seat entertainment system, and power liftgate.
Safety
Standard safety features include ABS, a tire-pressure monitoring system, stability and traction control, three-row side curtain airbags, front-passenger detection for airbag deployment and a rollover sensor that can activate the seatbelt tensioners and side curtain airbags. Rear side airbags are available as an option.
Interior Design and Special Features
The Mercedes-Benz R-Class offers an interior that's plush and nicely executed. Gauges are well placed and controls are mostly intuitive. The vehicle comfortably seats six; even the two rearmost seats are pretty comfortable for adults. Mercedes has made third-row access easy by expanding the length of the rear doors and putting both second-row seats on spring-loaded hinges. They jump out of the way with the flick of a lever, and snap back into place just as easily. With the second- and third-row seats lowered, the R-Class can hold 85 cubic feet of cargo.

I did notice 2 extremely small rock chips in the front windshield this morning. They are too small to photograph. Also, for those that have asked about the tires. They appear to be origianl and thus, I would consider replacing them in the near future.
