This is a very solid 1984 Mercedes 300SD. It starts first time every time and doesn't smoke rattle or knock. Georgia car since new with only 2 owners so no rust. Clean carfax with no accident history etc. Qualifies for the Autocheck buy back guarantee. The body is very straight and it is in excellent mechanical condition. Great oil pressure and virtually no blow by. All 4 gears of the automatic transmission shift smooth and solid. The suspension is tight and the brakes stop on a dime. All of the power windows work well and so does the power sunroof. The leather interior is a little worn but is still very comfortable and firm with no dips or sags. Both power seats work. The tachometer works when it wants to but all of the other gauges work well. The AC works but the fan switch has been bypassed with a toggle switch. Overall it is a good car and I would not be afraid to drive it on a 3000 mile trip tomorrow. This is a great candidate for alternate fuels but as far as I know it has only been ran on diesel so far. Several people have emailed asking about rust. There is no rust. This has always been a GA car. I included some pictures of the underside to show just how nice it is. Also there are no mechanical issues. The car is smooth and powerful. I was told it had a recent valve adjustment which is one of the tune up procedures for this engine. I have owned several of these cars and this is one of the best driving 300SD's I have ever been in. The interior is a little worn but not dirty or stained. The steering wheel still feels like new! It is not a perfect car but is still very nice for a vehicle of this vintage. Also for those considering alternate fuels this is the all cast iron nearly bullet proof diesel that is known for going over 500k miles. Thanks for looking!
