Vehicle Description
Hello. We have too many cars now and reluctantly must sell our dependable, safe, comfortable and economical Mercedes.
Absolutely no rust; Southern car.
I purchased her from an elderly gentleman three years ago. She was in remarkably good condition for her age, having apparently been very well maintained. After a new set of front calipers, belt and pulley bracket, I have done not much more than change the transmission filter and fluid, new battery, regulator and regular oil changes.
The Benz has served us well and although the odometer stopped at 220K miles, she is tight and dependable, Minimal oil usage between changes, no smoking and she just sips gas. I have every confidence that this fine automobile may be driven anywhere.
There are cosmetic and non-mechanical issues that you may want to address, or you can just do like I have, keep up the mechanicals and just drive her! The things that you need to know are: Tires have good tread, but are old. AC has blown cold when charged, but has a leak. One of the rear windows has jumped the track, but motor and switch works.A tree limb fell on the rear and required some body work on the rear fenders, a replacement trunk lid and rear glass. Although the overall paint is presentable (a fifty footer), the car can use a good all over paint job.
If you are looking for a dependable, safe, comfortable and economical car for commuting, to provide to a new driver in your home, or as your main transportation, this popular 126 bodied Benz may be just what you need.
Why obligate yourself for years of payments for a newer econobox when there is plenty of life left in this classy Mercedes Benz ?
