Up for bid is a 1979 Mercedes-Benz 450SL equipped with factory soft convertible top and separate hardtop. This vehicle was converted from the U.S. spec headlamps to the European style headlamps (valued at over $1000.00) as well as the factory race inspired Mercedes steering wheel. Also added was the center high mounted third brake lamp mounted in the center of the trunk to mirror later model 560SL.
As you can see, the 560SL lettering was added in place of the 450SL lettering. This vehicle is a 450SL, NOT a 560SL model.
Vehicle has upgraded 560SL wheels. Vehicle has new tires which were replaced recently.
Vehicle has upgraded chrome fender flares as seen in pictures.
This vehicle has been very well taken care of and always garaged.
There are two small cuts on the soft convertible top which has been taped to protect the interior from the exterior elements.
Heating and A/C needs to be repaired and/or recharged.
Vehicle will pass smog with flying colors.
Paint is in excellent condition and is very well taken care of.
Vehicle has been very well maintained under seller's 23 year ownership.
Engine is in excellent condition.
Transmission is in excellent condition.
Body is in excellent flawless condition.
