1967 Mercedes Benz 250SL Roadster
I bought this car from a man who bought the car from Rader's Relics Investor Cars in Orlando in Feb of 1985. It's prior life was in France where it was purchased in Jan of 1984 by a Sarasota FL gentleman who, a year later , was undergoing a divorce and liquidating most assets. At the time of mans purchased the odometer registered 34,616 kilometers. The speedometer in also in Kilometers per hour and the Lovely European headlamps are still installed and, as orgiginal equipment, street legal. The car is a true Roadster; its"pagoda" top is fully removeable for open driving and it has no soft top as the Convertible model does. The Vin is 1130432002066 and the vehicle is Florida Titled. The Roadster was always garaged at the Mans residence. He only added about 3700 Kilometers during two decades of ownership. It has had appreciable mechanical refurbishment first by Autobaun Engineering and more properly by Tamburr Motorcars including new gas tank, new transfer pump, new brake calipers and disks. The Man also made some additions: an air conditioning system with an O.E. used evaporator(from Buds Benz in Atlanta), a proper new condenser, and a high efficiency variable displacement compressor in lieu of the proper York piston pumper. A car cover in blue cotton by Beverly Hills is included. The white paint is orginal and starting to show its 41 years. Please look at all pictures and e-mail me if you have any questions.
