This car is an extremely clean condition European 1984 Mercedes 380SL (Clean California Title and Registration).
EBay does not recognize European Vin #'s (Vehicle Identification Numbers) that is why the 0’s on EBay’s Vehicle Identification Numbers section of the listing.
This beautiful 380 SL has a beautiful Silver high gloss metallic exterior
There are a few flaws in the paint primarily on the passenger side front fender the exterior is matched well with a gorgeous gray leather interior. It was privately imported into California by a Mercedes Benz collector through an independent agent who realized that the European SL models would appreciate quicker.
The car is in very good condition. I have seen a lot of these cars and this one is one of the nicer 380SL’s I have ever seen.
The car is absolutely breath taking to look at and definitely stands out where ever you go; I have seen new cars with more signs of wear and usage than this car. If you are in the market for an excellent European 380SL. You could jump in this car and drive it anywhere with absolute confidence.

This amazing car has been sheltered and well cared in Southern California, and the previous owner would not drive the car in conditions he felt would harm this classic sports car. The car is accident and rust free and appears all original.
INTERIOR
The vibrant gray leather interior accents the metallic silver exterior beautifully. The dash and The Burl Wood accents are in very good condition without the typical cracking or fading expected for its age. The seats are excellent with no rips or tears. The headliner and the inside of the convertible top and top mechanism are in excellent condition, the door panels and all the carpets including the trunk carpet are exceptionally well preserved.
EXTERIOR
This classic roadster has been well preserved in the Southern California climate, the body paint and chrome are in very good condition with no rust, and it is in original condition. The black heavy duty German canvas convertible top is in excellent condition with no rips or tears. The hard top is in excellent condition. It is obvious that this car has been lovingly cared for.
MECHANICAL
Mechanically the car is just as nice as the exterior if not even nicer with all systems functioning flawlessly including the factory air conditioning, The car always starts and idles very quietly and smoothly, runs nice and cool, has excellent oil pressure and does not smoke, it feel so smooth sometimes you cant tell if it is running, When you needed to or want to, the car can also be driven quickly; once the gas pedal is pushed the engine comes to life showing its true sports car nature. There are no visible leaks or any other signs of neglect or abuse.
The transmission, brakes exhaust system and suspension feel just as nice. The car is a true pleasure to drive and everything looks feels and even smells the way a well cared for Mercedes Benz should. The car is very solid and stable.
The 380SL Roadster is one of the finest luxury sports cars ever produced. The car is well equipped this car was well ahead of its time. In the trunk you will find the original, as new condition spare tire and wheel.
This outstanding car comes with a clean California Title and current Registration which means the car has passed the toughest EPA emissions (Smog) requirements in the country and strict safety regulations.
It is becoming increasingly difficult to find these Euro 380SL’s in such good condition.
In a recent business article it stated that,
“There has been a surge in interest from collectors around the globe focusing on high end European luxury and sports car from the late 1970’s and early 1980’s, they are consider the next frontier of assets that will provide great return on investments, in fact some of my clients have left others markets and have put a portion of their portfolios into this lucrative classic car market, as with gold it will never be worth 0, like many stocks are these days, in fact portions of the classic car market have greatly out paced the overall stock market”
