A great car. A joy to own, Great for the city, country roads or the highway. The 5th gear gives good highway mileage. I bought it in StarMark condition from Fletcher MB in Newport Beach in 1999, with 35,000 miles. Now, due to changing relationships we have FOUR cars and need to sell one.
Unusually good stuff:
LO-JACK anti-theft installed which is designed to trace the car if it is stolen; New rag top and rear window in 2004; Transmission rebuilt by AAMCO in October 2008 with a 12,000 mile/12 month warranty; All new rubber seals around doors and windows were installed when I bought the car in 1999; Includes removable hard top with storage rack; Drives like a dream; No known problems except as listed under “flaws.” Wind deflector makes it quiet enough for a low-volume conversation when the top is down!
Flaws:
The front and rear bumper have been re-painted and minor damage to the front bumper and grill; the remote for locking and unlocking the car works intermittently; and the chrome on the wheels is peeling.
