1951 Mercury two door

1951 Mercury 2 door. If you’ve ever dreamed of building a Merc or are ready for the next build, this is the one. This Merc is a great stock running driving project. The original drum brakes have been rebuilt. It has all new wiring from front to back. The stock flat head and stock three speed on the column with over drive run great. All the glass is in it and in good shape. This car has all the trim and moldings and are in good condition. The chrome on the trim, moldings, bumpers and grill are ok but should be redone. All the lights work, including, headlights, tail lights, turn signals, and dash lights. The body is in great shape in all the right places. There are some minor issues around the lower panels and rockers. The body around all the glass is in very good shape. The floor is in good shape but will need some patching. Structurally this car is very solid. The doors close nice and tight and line up well. The interior is all there, but is in barn find condition, except the front and rear seat have been reupholstered so the front and back seat look great and have no tears or stains, and the dash is all there and in very good shape with working gauges. All in all this is a great running driving project. If you’re looking to build a custom or full restoration this is as good of a start as your going to get for this price. Or, just drive it the way it is as you decide what if anything you want to do to this restoration project.
The exhaust is old but solid for a barn find, and it has been secured up since the pics, CLICK ON THE MOVIES TO SEE THE CAR DRIVE and to have a better look at it.
There has been a stock fuel tank hooked up since the original pics, it was being used in the movies.
