I've owned the Comet for 2 years while in the military and have restored it as much as I could but deployments got in the way, so there are lots of extras that I'm including. I'm selling it now because it's kind of hard to get a 6 month old in and out of a 2 door...the wife wants more of a "family" car! I've no problems with the Comet. It runs perfect and is very reliable! It has no dents but a small amount of rust spots and some chipped paint. The car would be perfect with a new paint job and the brakes converted to disc. The other thing I didnt get a chance to get around to doing is replace the E-brake cable. The buyer must pay a $500 deposit by cash, bank wire transfer or PayPal within 48 hours of the close of the auction. The balance must be payed by cash or bank wire transfer. The vehicle must be picked up no later than 7 days after the close of the auction.
The buyer will be responsible for making delivery arrangements for the car. The buyer is welcome to pick up the car at my house or meet up for drop-off within a 25 mile radius. If you are 25 or more miles away from zip 23642, I can possibly deliver the car for $2 per mile, up to 100 miles (prepaid, and based on the mileage calculated by Mapquest), but arrangements must be made before the auction ends if I am to deliver it. Delivery would be made only after the vehicle is paid for.
