Up for bid is a 1973 Mercury Cougar XR7 convertible. It is equipped with a 351C-2v engine that runs and an automatic transmission. It also has air conditioning that works and gets cool, but not really cold. Therefore, we think it needs to be recharged. The top has a glass rear window and is in good shape. There is some some rust coming through on the doors and the front and rear of the quarter panels. On the trunk lid, there appears to be some spots coming through where the car apparently had a luggage rack at some point. It seems the car was repainted many years ago, as the paint is getting thin. There is some rust on the bumpers. The right front and the right rear floor pans will need to be patched because there is some rust starting to come through. There are some minor scratches on the windshield where a windshield wiper went bad. It looks like they might be able to be buffed out. It has all the factory gauges including the tack and the clock, but the clock does not work. The AM/FM radio is also factory and does work. The interior is in fair condition. The drivers seat needs to be redone, and it does need carpet.
This car does not have tags or insurance, therefore we can only drive it around our lot. We tried to take pictures showing everything as well as possible. If you have any questions, contact us using the email below, or through eBay.
