You are bidding on a 1962 Mercury Meteor Custom with NO RESERVE that is in excellent condition given that it is a 46 year old car ! Heck, it would be in great condition for a car less than HALF that age. The person I bought it from spoke with the original owner of the car and the miles are believed to be all original.
Your Meteor will come with factory A/C with a working blower although it DOES need recharged. It has a 260 V8 engine with a Ford 2 speed transmission. Speaking of the transmission, right now it needs a minor module adjustment. You have to drive the car around for 10 or 15 minutes for it to begin to shift properly. After that, feel free to explore ole' Route 66 or wherever else you may be traveling.
The only thing not original to the car is 17 inch Foos chrome wheels. They are a very nice addition to the car and really give it a great look. There are some other minor things with the body that would need attention before it would be show ready. BUT, with that said, with a little work this car could be a GREAT car show attention getter. You will already get many looks and compliments from this car.
I am selling this car because I had the chance to get some other toys and my wife thinks that I need to limit the amount of them in my toybox. Who knew? I bought the car myself through Ebay and it was a very smooth transaction. I had a quote to ship it from its' current location in Ridgecrest, California to Des Moines, Iowa for approximately $800 so if you're a similiar distance away from Ridgecrest and are thinking about shipping the vehicle, you can count on that being the approximate cost.
