Vehicle Description Up for sale is my 1997 Mercury Grand Marquis (MODEL) with 110000 miles that is silver/blue exterior with gray leather interior. The reason for sale is there was a front end collision and I am getting a new vehicle. This vehicle has a clean history and very well could be repaired like new, it doesn't appear to be frame damage. This car was meticulousnessly maintained, inside and out. The car has a CUSTOM sliding moon roof installed and has leather upholstery with power seats. This car was driven by NON-SMOKING :) . The car has Digital Dash, Ice Cold AC was replaced late last year however have not had a chance to see if the ac works or if the condenser was damaged in the accident, and also has power seats, steering wheel and mirrors. The car does have some other damage on the sides before the car stopped. The interior is in great shape, dash functions and starts right up, not sure about the fan, radiator/condenser. Now onto the specifics of the mechanical side, The engine is Ford's 4.6l V8 SOHC. The engine produces around 205hp with factory k&N replacement filter and 265lbs of torque and definately picks up just fine. In fords 96-98 engines, they used coil packs instead of coil on plugs on later models, the coil packs are much much better of an ignition. These cars originally got 17city miles and roughly 25 highway miles, filling the take gives over 400 miles of driving. The car still gets very much the same mileage, it doesn't smoke, burn oil or leak oil was changed every 3000 miles. Never had the head gaskets replaced, valve covers removed. The engine purs and runs through smoothly at all rpms. No sputters, pootsers, clinks or clatters. The transmission is a 4R70W which is a very very durable 4 speed automatic transmission with overdrive. These repaced the AOD's and are more powerful, more reliable and most importanlty, the transmission Ford used in all Mustang GT auto's all the way up to 04, not sure what the new gen has. The fluids in the engine such as coolant, oil, even power steering have been changed. Transmission was maintained at the same times as the rear end which houses 2:73 gears for better fuel economy from the factory, and is the 8.8 rear housing model. I can assure anyone who comes to view the car, that the mechanicals of this car are flawless and well documented. Suspension is still sound also rides quality is great, no squeaks, retail on these cars is still a pretty penny for a fair condition which if these panels and bumper are replaced, this car will last ALOT longer than most left that are available at this price due to the extensive maintinence not to mention look better. I am open to offers but prefer to sell as a whole since I cannot pull the motor and don't know much about disconnecting harnesses and things like that. This is an extremely salvageable car and will last along time with the mileage it has and if you decided to part out, think of the possiblilites between the motor, trans, rear end, then fuel system, then computer controls, interior. This is a beautiful any questions please ask. Asking 1850.00 obo
