Vehicle Description
The Vehicle..........1999 Mercury Mystique LS sedan in silver metallic with a gray leather interior. This car is in overall excellent condition and runs beautifully. It is a one owner car and has a completely clean carfax report which indicates that it was regularly maintained by the local Lincoln Mercury dealer over it's entire life. Features include front wheel drive, V6 engine, automatic transmission, power steering and brakes, ice cold air conditioning, power windows, power door locks, power mirrors, power seat, cruise control, tilt steering wheel, delay wipers, power sliding sunroof, am-fm cassette stereo, alloy wheels and much more.
It's Condition..........The engine runs smoothly with no skips, noises, or vibrations. The transmission shifts smoothly through all the gears, and all other mechanical systems seem to function properly. Recent maintenance includes front brakes, transmission range sensor, new alternator and oil pan, and a test drive by an ASE certified mechanic. The interior is very good. There are no worn, torn, or badly stained areas on the seats, carpets, or headliner. The leather seats are soft and very comfortable. All other interior panels look good. The paint and body are good too. There are no big dents or rusted areas, anywhere on the body. There is some minor body damage on the passengers side of the car which is highlighted in one photo. The paint appears all original, and has an good shine. Overall, this is a very nice car that could be described as Comfortable, Safe, and Dependable.
Driving the vehicle..........Driving this car is a smooth and pleasant experience with a powerful engine, comfortable interior and great stereo. There are no shakes, rattles, or vibrations, and the ride is just as smooth and comfortable as you would expect. The gas mileage is estimated by the EPA as 18 city, and 26 highway. I drove it for 120 miles yesterday (mostly highway) and got 28 mpg overall. I enjoyed the drive and found the car to be very comfortable.
What is it Worth..........Kelly Blue Book (kbb.com) lists the retail value of this car with these miles and options as $4430. The Private Party value of this car in good (not excellent) condition is $2510. NADA and Edmunds list similar values. But the only value that really matters is what you are willing to pay. Since this is a NO RESERVE auction, it will sell to the highest bidder regardless of the price bid.
Things you should know..........I try hard to accurately describe all of my cars. Most are trade-ins to local new car dealers. I have not owned or driven these vehicles as my daily transportation. The description is the result of a short test drive over varied road surfaces and a visual inspection while the vehicle is parked. I am not a mechanic and I do not guarantee that my description of problems (if any) is accurate or complete, but I try very hard to be thorough and honest, and my reputation reflects that effort. Please remember that these are used vehicles and you should expect a normal amount of wear for the year and mileage, but any serious known flaws would be noted above. Local bidders are encouraged to see and drive this vehicle prior to making their offer.The Details..........Please leave a $200 deposit at the end of the auction through ebay checkout and Paypal. The balance is due within 7 days in cash, wire transfer, or certified check. Bank checks are ok, but the money must clear my account before the title or vehicle are transferred. We add a $180 doc fee to all vehicle purchases. The vehicle is being sold AS-IS, with no warranty expressed or implied. That means that any problems that are discovered or develop after you or your shipper take delivery of the vehicle are not covered by the seller in any way.
