Car can be purchased at anytime with a phone call to me. Up for sale is a 1 owner 1998 Mercury Sable with only 33800 pampered miles! The mature owners purchased this car new from the local dealer and serviced it regularly. Husbands doctor says he no longer can drive-he is 87 years young-so the car is no longer needed. Original dealer invoice window sticker included-listed MPG is 19/22 mpg city, and 28 to 33 mpg highway, so the car is really good on gas mileage. Recent oil change, radiator flush, transmission filter and fluid change as preventive maintenance. 9/08 PA inspection and emission. New rear brakes. NEVER IN AN ACCIDENT. NEVER SMOKED IN. Equipped with 3.0 V6 engine, automatic transmission, cruise, tilt, cold AC, PW, PDL, dual power mirrors, am/FM stereo cassette, split fold down rear seat for added storage space for larger items, dual front airbags, Scotch Guarded interior and undercoated by the dealer. Runs, shifts, and drives beautifully.
Original paint is very nice. Straight accident free body. There is an approx. 2' mild crease along the bottom of the passenger door that extends 2" to the bottom of the rear passenger door, you can feel the crease, however, there is no paint damage, the paint is entirely intact where this crease is. That new procedure many body shops are now doing called 'paintless dent repair' can fix this inexpensively. Some touch up paint on the rear bumper over a slight crease, and very small touch up spots on the bottom of the front bumper. Overall the paint is shiny and shouldn't disappoint anyone.
Interior is scotch guarded from new and it looks it. Never smoked in. A mild detail will bring it up like new. The rear seat wasn't used. All the fabric is as close to new as you can expect to find. The emergency brake rubber foot pad is loose, so the owner tapped it to secure it :) All four 205 65 15 tires are 50% and evenly worn.
