Vehicle Description
For sale is a 2005 Mitsubishi Evo MR 8 in excellent condition. This vehicle has been meticulously maintained and always run on synthetic oil only. For all the motor heads out there, this car is a rocket ship and a LOT of fun to drive. It drives like on rails and when the turbo boost kicks in the HP production is unbelievable. It sticks to the road like glue and is the best all round driver i have ever owned. I am a 50 plus guy (love the car even though its for the below 30 crowd), and i had this car rebuilt so it had the perfect balance of power and handling. It gets compliments everywhere i go, and has a sick exhaust note. I drive it to Newark for tuning and has been tested on his dyno at Iveytune in Newark, NJ and puts out 365 horsepower and 321 ft/lb of torque at 6400 RPM (picture of dyno test report below). The car has a kelly blue book value of over $26,000. My car has more than $20,000 worth of aftermarket modifications. These include a greddy sc61 turbocharger kit, a tial wastegate, catback exhaust, pioneer stereo receiver/cd player in dash, auxiliary plug for ipod/mp3 player, XM Satellite Radio, small subwoofer in trunk (still plenty of room for other stuff or 2 bags of golf clubs), remote radar detector in dash which you will need, turbo timer, boost gauge, and boost controller all in dash as well. Proof of all aftermarket modifications can be seen in accompanying documents. The previous engine which was installed in Illinois by the party i bought the car from was overtuned, and the engine blew out at 18,000 miles and I had a complete short block rebuild in 2006 with the Mitsubishi OEM engine (document below) and has run perfectly ever since. The asterisk on one of the accompanying documents seen below denotes the old engine, there is another document that says "new short block" which indicates the repair work and existing engine which was done by Mother's Auto. The stock engine runs far better with the large turbo and intercooler that is on the car, never overheats and as you can see the car puts out plenty of horsepower. The body of the car is completely stock. Additionally, car comes stock with brembo brakes, enkei rims, silver exterior and black/blue racing style interior w/ Recaro seats. Four slightly used Micheline Pilot PS2 tires on car (8000 miles of use). The car will run with a Porsche and is more fun to drive. I am only selling because i have purchased a Corvette C6 Convertible and i now must sell. This is a great car and will provide lots of driving fun for its owner.
