This is probably going to be one of the cheapest 240sx convertibles that you will find that actually runs awesome and doesn't look too bad either! This is a '93 240sx, it has the standard KA24DE DOHC engine with automatic transmission. The engine on this car is in awesome shape! Fires right up, runs very strong, no smoke, very minimal timing chain noise at idle, this engine has loads of life left in it, it is in much better shape than many of the KA's that I've seen. The transmission also works very well, shifts perfectly, no slipping. Even the air conditioning works on this car! Where are you going to find a 240 that runs and drives (reliably) with working air for less than $1500? I would not hesitate to use this car as a daily driver, it runs and drives very well, new front brakes were just installed. Please remember though that this is a 15 year old car and it will require some work to bring it up to par, but it would make a great daily driver or a awesome project car.
Good points about the car:
Engine runs great, transmission works good, AC is cold, all windows work, CD player, top mechanism works good, new front brakes, overall a good cheap little 240.
What the car needs:
The convertible top needs to be replaced, it does leak some but not as much as you would think, but it does need to be changed soon. The left rear quarter window does go up and down but it needs some new guides for the regulator in order for it to work properly. The power antenna does not work, the dash has 1 or 2 cracks in it right above the steering wheel. The leather seats are hard from age and the driver's side seat has a tear in it, carpet is dirt, power steering leaks a little bit. Hood and left headlight cover have some damage from a previous incident. There is also a dent on the lower driver's side quarter panel behind the rear tire.
If you are looking for a cheap 240sx to have some fun with, this is the car. This is a great platform to modify and the best part is that it is a running and driving car that can be driven daily! A new top is the part that it needs the most, otherwise its not a bad car.
