Vehicle Description Customized NISSAN 300ZX : Non turbo, automatic with T-Tops ( needs some work, please read entire description) These 300ZX are starting to get rare and you dont see them too often. I had originally bought this car because of all the custom work done to it, and well because i have always wanted one. Nissan did a fantastic job designing the "Z" aka the "Fairlady". Nissan had previously made the 280ZX, the original 300ZX, this body style 300ZX and presently the 350Z or the new 370Z. This is a fourth generation "Z" with a 222hp V6 and an automatic transmission. Nissan has a history of making fun to drive, well made and sleek sports cars. I really liked this style "Z" because its sleek lines has a touch of an Italian sports car, it looks a little like a Ferrari. This "Z" can be a real head turner with some work. She already gets attention driving down the road. I think with the fourth generation "Z" cars becoming rare, a lot of people look to see whats passing by. Driving with the T-tops off and the windows down, this car is a lot of fun. I unfortunately have no room to keep so many cars and i have rarely used this car since i bought her. I have probably put a couple of thousand miles (if that) on this car. She has spent more time sitting in the garage, looking pretty, instead of being used. I am also moving and no longer can keep her. History : I had bought this car in New York. The previous owner told me that he had replaced the transmission, fuel injectors and newer tires put on. I think i am the 3rd owner. As far as i know the tires look good. They might need a rotation, one tire is making some road noise, but the all still have good thread on them. Also I replaced the battery about 1month ago with a higher cold cranking amp battery. The transmission shifts fine. I am not sure if its a Nissan or a 300ZX design, but when accelerating the transmission shifts easily, when slowly accelerating you can feel the gears change, no grinding noise, but the engine does rev a bit before changing up. I am not use to driving a rear wheel drive sports cars, especially a "Z". A friend who had a "Z", said that previous "Z" cars do that. Heres a list of the upgrades that i know of : Invader I Body Kit Chrome 17" Zenetti rims with 2 Pirelli and 2 Continental tires Red calipers all around with cross drilled front rotors Blue-Green backlight white gauges with additional side pillar gauges (? if working) Custom exhaust After market car alarm with remote Needs work : I had mentioned that the previous owner said that he replaced the fuel injections, I bought the car i think it needs the fuel pump replaced. That or the injects need cleaning or replaced. I have started her once ever few weeks, she runs rough and then smooths out when shes warm. When you start the car up, give it some gas, she idles around 1000 rpm for a couple of seconds and then comes down as she warms up. If you turn off the car and try to start her again, she turns over, but doesn't start. If you disconnect the fuel pump plug in the trunk area, she'll start. The same problem that i had bought the car with. After i disconnect the fuel pump, i would start her and she would start easily, then let the fuel in the system burn out, reattach the fuel pump and then restart the car. She would then start just fine. It seemed like the engine was being flooded with fuel and she would not start the second time without disconnecting the fuel pump. Pretty much stopping the fuel, letting whats in the fuel system burn off and then reattaching the fuel pump, to send "new" fuel. This is why i think the fuel pump needs replacing. i am not a mechanic, i am not if its the pump, injectors or something else. Like i said, the "Z" start, runs and drives just fine, but because of the fuel problem, this the car can also be used for parts. These "Z" car are getting rare, if someone needs an engine, transmission or body panel, this is a complete car. Also please remember that this is not a new car, but a used car. There are some scrapes and scratches, the lower front bumper is cracked. The hood has a small gap, i think the an aftermarket toggle switch for the alarm is keeping it open, i am not sure though. The interior leather seat is gray in good condition, the previous owner replaced the driver seat with a tan seat, the leather has cuts in it, but both front seats has red and black covers. I also had a small tab along the driver side window replaced that holds the window in track. When the car was there, they left it unlocked, some thief stole the stereo headunit and rear bass speaker with amplifier. There is no speakers, but the car is wired for a stereo with amplifier. The clear coat paint is peeling in some spots. This didn't matter because I was going to have the car resprayed and change the color to a Bright Yellow. There is also some rust along the rear driver side quarter panel. There might be other spots i am not sure. There are a lot of pics, please check them carefully, I may have missed a few things. as i mentioned this is a used "Z". This 300ZX is being sold as is and where is. The car is presently in Delaware at a friends house. I can deliver this car to NJ or PA, for a small fee, (fee depends on how far away, probably about $100 minimum). Or you can have the car shipped. I can help with shipping arrangements, but buyer pays cost.
