THIS CAR ONLY HAS 43,597 ORIGINAL MILES! THIS IS A MOSTLY ORIGINAL 1986 300ZX THAT HAD BEEN GARAGED MOST OF ITS LIFE AND USED SPARINGLY IN THE LAST 22 YEARS. IT HAS NEVER BEEN RACED, NEVER BEEN ABUSED, NEVER BEEN IN AN ACCIDENT. ONLY 2 OWNERS FROM NEW, THE ORIGINAL OWNER ONLY DROVE THIS ON WEEKENDS AND OCCASIONALLY TO WORK AND SOME CAR SHOWS... WHEN THIS WAS NEW IT WAS A $20,000 CAR AS OPTIONED FROM THE FACTORY. MANUFACTURED IN DECEMBER 1985. CLEAR WASHINGTON STATE TITLE. THE TITLE NEEDS TO BE TRANSFERED INTO THE BUYER'S NAME PRIOR TO BEING DRIVEN. THE TABS ARE EXPIRED BUT THEY CAN BE BOUGHT ALONG WITH NEW LICENSE PLATES WHEN THE TITLE IS TRANSFERED. THIS CAR RECENTLY PASSED WASHINGTON STATE EMMISSIONS AND THE PASSING CERTIFICATE IS INCLUDED. I DID THAT PRIOR TO LISTING THIS FOR SALE. IT PASSED WITHOUT ANY PROBLEMS! NO TEST PILOTS, ITS A FAST CAR AND I DON'T WANT TO BE STUCK IN IT WITH AN UNEXPERIENCED DRIVER. THIS RUNS AND DRIVES NICELY. NEW PARTS INSTALLED ON THIS ARE: CLUTCH DISC, CLUTCH FLYWHEEL, CLUTCH PRESSURE PLATE, CLUTCH THROW OUT BEARING, REAR U-JOINT, NEW WATER PUMP, TIMING BELT, BATTERY, RADIATOR FLUID, TRANSMISSION OIL, ENGINE OIL/FILTER, SPARK PLUGS, SPARK PLUG WIRES, DISTRIBUTOR CAP, DISTRIBUTOR ROTOR, TPS THROTTLE POSITION SENSOR, MAF MASS AIR FLOW SENSOR, BRAKE MASTER CYLINDER, FRONT AND REAR BRAKE PADS, FRESH BRAKE FLUID, VARIOUS VACUUM HOSES, NEW HOOD SHOCKS, NEW THERMOSTAT WITH GASKET, REAR ENGINE SEAL, FRONT AND REAR TRANSMISSION SEALS. SINCE THE ENGINE WAS REMOVED I HAD THE SHOP ALSO CLEAN THE FUEL INJECTORS AND CHANGE THE HEAD GASKETS, VALVE COVER GASKETS AND ADJUST THE VALVES. THE BEST OF ALL PARTS CHANGED OUT WAS THE TURBO CENTER CARTRIDGE. IT WAS REPLACED WITH A REMANUFACTURED UNIT BUT UPGRADED TO A SLIGHTLY LARGER INTAKE FAN. MOST OF THE PARTS CHANGED DIDN'T HAVE TO BE REPLACED, IN FACT I RELISTED AND SOLD MOST OF THE PARTS THROUGH MY EBAY STORE AFTER CHANGING THEM OUT FROM THIS CAR! THIS ENGINE SHOULD LAST MANY MORE YEARS BECAUSE EVERYTHING I COULD THINK OF FOR THE SHOP TO CHANGE OUT WAS DONE. ITS A NO EXPENSE SPARED ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION SERVICE! COST OF PARTS WAS $1430, SHOP CHARGES WHERE $1150, I PAID CASH OUT OF POCKET AND DID SOME TRADING WITH THE SHOP TOO. I HAVE THIS CAR AT A STORAGE YARD AT THIS TIME. I CAN MEET ANY POTENTIAL BUYERS THROUGHOUT THE WEEK EXCEPT FOR FRIDAY, SATURDAY AND SUNDAY. THE RESERVE IS SET FAIRLY LOW. YES THE PAINT IS ORIGINAL. IT IS EVEN NICER THAN THE PHOTOS SHOW. THE MILEAGE IS ACTUAL MILEAGE. THE 2 OWNERS ARE THE ONLY OWNERS THE CAR HAS EVER HAD AS FAR AS WE KNOW. Driven an average of just 2000 miles per year, 170 miles per month since purchased new, it has never been through an automated car wash. It has never been driven on a rainy day. This Turbo Coupe has been lovingly hand washed and detailed for over two decades. Never abused, never raced, garaged till the summer of 2005. Here is a certainty: The person who purchases this Nissan 300ZX will be getting a bargain at any price. This car proudly carries the third generation banner of the legendary Datsun - Nissan Z cars that initiated the idea here in America that a Japanese car could actually be synonymous with performance. Also called the Z31, this turbocharged two seater has a very slippery aerodynamic drag coefficient of 0.30. Road tests proved its business-like 200 horsepower 3 liter V6 is capable of propelling this little rocket 0-60 in 7 seconds and it will turn a quarter mile ET at just over 15 seconds. Of course, this particular car has never been on a race track, nor has it ever been abused in any way by its sole owner. It has, in fact, been coddled like a newborn for all of its life. Any interested buyer should come to see this car to witness firsthand the impeccable state of the vehicle. We welcome and encourage anyone to come to Renton, WA to do so. Any inspection is welcome however the license tabs have expired so this cannot be street driven till the buyer transfers the title into his/her name. AIR CONDITIONING NEEDS RECHARGING WITH RETROFIT R134-DISCHARGED AWAITING RECHARGE. THATS IT! LIKE I SAID, IT RUNS AND DRIVES NICELY! INTERIOR: 2 SEATS, NO REAR SEAT. BLUE IN COLOR. THE CAR HAS NOT BEEN DETAILED. IF THIS IS DETAILED IT WOULD LOOK A LOT NICER. THERE ARE SOME STAINS ON THE SEATS AND THE CARPET FRONT AND BACK. THE REAR PARCEL CARPET IS SUN FADED AND IT HAS SOME FUNNY PINK STAINS ON IT. THE PASSENGER SIDE REAR PANEL THAT HIDES THE SPARE HAS A SMALL CRACK ON IT AND THE LEFT SIDE PANEL'S LOCK HAS COME OUT SO THE DOOR FLOPS OPEN. THE STEERING WHEEL HAS FADED IN THE SUN. THE DASHBOARD IS IN NICE SHAPE. THE CENTER CONSOLE IS IN NICE SHAPE. THE HEADLINER BEHIND THE T-TOPS IS BUBBLY BUT ITS STAYING UP THERE. CLOTH COVERED SEATS WITH TURBO EMBROIDERY. T-TOPS: I HAVEN'T EVER TAKEN THEM OFF....I'M NOT SURE IF I HAVE A KEY FOR THE T-TOPS. THE PROTECTIVE BAGS ARE INCLUDED IN THE TRUNK AREA. GAS MILEAGE: I'M NOT SURE HOW MANY MILES PER GALLON BUT A GUESS IS AROUND 20 TO 25. IT ALL DEPENDS ON HOW THE DRIVER DRIVES THE CAR THOUGH. IF YOU PIDDLE ALONG AT 60 MPH IN 5TH GEAR ON THE FREEWAY YOU COULD POSSIBLY GET AROUND 30 MILES PER GALLON. BODY: THE CAR IS MOSTLY ORIGINAL, THE PAINT IS ORIGINAL. THERE ARE SOME TINY DINGS AROUND THE BODY, MINOR SCUFFS AND SCRATCHES. THE HOOD HAS SOME SMALL DINGS IN IT AND SCRATCHES. THE DRIVER'S SIDE FRONT FENDER HAS A DING IN IT. THE PASSENGER FRONT BUMPER CORNER HAS A BASEBALL SIZED SCRAPE ON IT. THERE IS NO NASTY RUST OUT BUT IN A COUPLE SPOTS THERE IS JUST MINOR SURFACE RUST WHICH I HAVE CLEANED UP WITH A SPECIAL RUST CONVERTER. TRIM: SOME OF THE BLACK PAINTED TRIM HAS FLAKED OFF AS SHOWN IN THE PICTURES. IF I HAVE SPARE TIME I COULD TOUCH IT UP. STEREO SYSTEM: THIS HAS A NEWER CD PLAYER WITH HIDDEN FACE BUT IT DOESN'T COME ON. I'M NOT SURE IF ITS UNPLUGGED OR IF THE FUSE NEEDS REPLACING...? CHASSIS: THE BODY, FRAME, UNDERCARRIAGE AND SUSPENSION IS FAIRLY CLEAN. ON OLDER CARS LIKE THIS THE SUSPENSION IN THE FRONT USUALLY GATHERS LOTS OF ROAD GRIME AND OIL FROM THE ENGINE ABOVE BUT ITS VERY CLEAN. THE ORIGINAL OWNER MUST HAVE BEEN CLEANING THE CAR VERY OFTEN. WELL TAKEN CARE OF! SUSPENSION: THIS HAS THE SWITCH FOR CONTROLLING THE SUSPENSION. IT HAS A S AND P ON THE SWITCH...SO MY GUESS IS SPORT AND PERFORMANCE. THE SUSPENSION TIGHTENS UP WHEN THE SWITCH IS FLICKED ONE WAY AND THE OTHER. BRAKING SYSTEM: NEW PADS FRONT AND BACK INSTALLED IN NOVEMBER 2007 WITH LESS THAN 20 MILES TOTAL ON THEM. NEW BRAKE MASTER CYLINDER. NEW BRAKE FLUID. 4 WHEEL DISC BRAKES. WINDOWS: ELECTRIC SIDE WINDOWS. WINDSHIELD HAS 2 CHIPS. REAR HATCH HAS DEFROST. WHEELS AND TIRES: THE WHEELS ARE TWO PIECE ARE AMERICAN RACING EQUIPMENT 16" ALLOY ALUMINUM WHEELS. 8 INCH WIDE I THINK. THE TIRES ARE MICHELIN PILOT XGT V4 225/50/16 AND THEY SEEM TO BE OK BUT I HAVEN'T CHECKED THEM OUT WHILE OFF THE CAR. THE WHEELS HAVE LOCKING LUG NUTS.
