Hi and thanks for looking. I am auction off a 2003 Nissan Altima. It has 199,898 miles on it. It is a five speed manual. It started blowing out white smoke and started to burn oil. I believe it needs either a head gasket or the valve guides went. I just started it now (right before the beginning of this auction) and started right up.
Unfortunately for me I do not have the money to fix it in either case. It is a great car. It ran very well until the smoking problem.
As far as cosmetics the body is very nice. It was rear ended one and the tail light had to be replaced. The body is a nice light grey and so is the interior. Nobody smokes in my family so the car is smoke free on the inside. The only thing on the inside is that the stick shift cover (I don’t know what it’s called but it is the leather cover that wraps around the stick shift) came off. It has power windows, power steering and power brakes. It is a 4 cylinder and gets around 23-25 per gallon.
I am starting the auction off at $99. THERE IS NO RESERVE!! So if you fix cars yourself this could be a real find. The winner of the auction is responsible for shipping. I prefer that the car be towed from here due to the smoking problem. Local Pick-up is welcome as well. The car is not registered at this time.
Along with a head gasket, it will need the usual when you buy a used car: tires, brakes, an alignment (with the tires), battery, etc. It may need a clutch at some point.
It has been sitting since Nov. of last year but I just started it now (right before the beginning of this auction) and started right up. So no problems there and it runs very smoothly.
