2003 Nissan Sentra SE-R Spec V
(2.5 Liter - 6 Speed Manual)
Up for sale is a 2003 Nissan Sentra Spec V. It has a clean title and is not salvaged. This is my daily driver and it is used mainly on the highway to get to my work and School. I purchased this vehicle almost 8 months ago for college and am now selling it because I have to repay my college loans. It is an excellent daily driver, gets good mileage and a quick sporty car with a lot of torque. I had fun with this car but alas, I must let it go. I took, as many pictures from as many angles as I thought would be necessary to see the condition of this vehicle.
Condition:
The car is in very good condition. I drive it daily, and it is a solid reliable car. I just replaced the radiator, the back tires, and the break lines. I also replaced the brake pads, and put in new sensors (dealer purchased) in the vehicle. The car has passed inspection in Texas and is valid till January 2009.
Interior:
The Interior is clean and has been well taken care of. The seats are made of what is a high-tech looking silver and black synthetic that almost looks like metallic mesh. It's really a grippy synthetic material, and helps hold the driver and passengers in place when cornering gets enthusiastic, and highlights interior styling that is more conservative than some of its competitors. The adjustable front seats are well-bolstered and very comfortable and supportive. The driver's seat even has cushion height and tilt adjustment. Two adults can fit in the rear seat.
Pros:
· There are 2 car lighter sockets.
· Nice and large centre console to store important documents.
· Greatly placed cupholders that do not get in the way of the shifter.
· Factory stock Radio and CD Player (comes with a sub in the back)
· ICE COLD AC
Cons:
· Glove Compartment is a little loose and comes off if yanked.
· The seats are used and there is wear on them, but not much
· Do not have original floor mats
Exterior:
Keep in mind that this is a 5 year old. The paint is in very good condition, but there are imperfections. There is a little dent and scratches near the gas tank (my mom backed her Altima into my car). There are other scratches here and there on the vehicle.
Pros:
· Very clean paint.
· Bright yellow exterior makes this car a head turner
· Spoiler gives the car the look of a Skyline rather than a Sentra.
· Rear tires just recently replaced.
Cons:
· Previously mentioned dent
· Previously mentioned scratches
· Front Tires may need to be replaced soon
PERFORMANCE:
Now this is where the Spec V part of the Sentra comes into play. Small sports sedans aren't usually known for torquey engines, but the Sentra Spec V is an exception. It makes its 175 horsepower (at 6000 rpm) and 180 lb-ft of torque (at 4,000) not by screaming to near five-digit rev levels but by displacement. While 2.5 liters is nothing on an 8-liter muscle car, it is more than the 1.8 to 2.0 liters of most sport-compacts, and balance shaft keeps it civilized. The six-speed manual gearbox has very positive action, with none of the rubbery linkage feel that is too often found in front-drive cars. It's great fun to shift and put this car on the road. It can take a curve like no other car in this price range. The car is bone stock and has not been modified as I feel that this takes away from the essence of the vehicle.
History:
I purchased this vehicle about 8 months ago. I checked the CarFax and the previous owner told me he was the third owner. Carfax can verify this, and it can verify the clean title. I have taken good care of this vehicle, and have done maintenance at its correct intervals. Air filters, Oil Changes, and other checkups and tune-ups were taken care of.
